Leviticus 10

1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, put fire in it and incense on the fire, andpresented unauthorised fire before Yahweh, which was not in accordance with his orders.	1 - Ora, Nadab ed Abiu figli di Aronne, presi i turiboli vi misero il fuoco, e sopra a questo l'incenso, offrendo però innanzi al Signore un fuoco profano, il che era loro proibito.
2 At this a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and swal owed them up, and they perished beforeYahweh.	2 Un fuoco mandato dal Signore li colpì, e morirono davanti al Signore.
3 Moses then said to Aaron, 'That is what Yahweh meant when he said: In those who are close to me Ishow my holiness, and before al the people I show my glory.' Aaron remained silent.	3 Mosè disse ad Aronne: «Si verifica quello che ha detto il Signore: - Io voglio la santità in quelli che mi stanno vicini e riceverò gloria da tutto il popolo -». Il che udendo Aronne si tacque.
4 Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron's uncle Uzziel, and said to them, 'Come hereand take your brothers away from the sanctuary, out of the camp.'	4 Di poi Mosè chiamò Misael ed Elisafan figli d'Oziel zio d'Aronne, e disse loro: «Andate togliete i vostri fratelli d'innanzi al santuario, e portateli fuori degli accampamenti».
5 They came and carried them away, still in their tunics, out of the camp, as Moses had said.	5 Subito andarono a prenderli, così come giacevano vestiti delle tuniche di lino, e li portarono fuori, com'era stato loro comandato.
6 Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Do not disorder your hair or tear your clothes;or you may incur death and his retribution may overtake the whole community. No, it is for the entire House ofIsrael to lament your brothers who have been the victims of Yahweh's fire.	6 Disse poi Mosè ad Aronne, e ad Eleazar e Itamar suoi figliuoli: «Non vi scoprite il capo, e non vi strappate le vesti, che non abbiate a morire, e si susciti lo sdegno [di Dio] su tutto il popolo. I fratelli vostri e tutta la casa d'Israele piangano sull'incendio suscitato dal Signore;
7 To avoid incurring death, do not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for Yahweh's anointing oilis on you.' And they did as Moses said.	7 ma voi non uscite dal recinto del tabernacolo; se no perirete, perchè l'olio della consacrazione è sempre sopra di voi». E fecero tutto come Mosè aveva comandato.
8 Yahweh spoke to Aaron and said:	8 Disse poi ad Aronne il Signore:
9 'When you come to the Tent of Meeting, you and your sons with you, to avoid incurring death you maynot drink wine or any other fermented liquor. This is a perpetual law for all your descendants.	9 «Tu ed i tuoi figliuoli, quando dovete entrare nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, non bevete vino nè qualsiasi altra bevanda che possa inebriare, acciò non moriate; perchè è questo un comando perpetuo per la vostra discendenza.
10 And so shal it be also when you separate the sacred from the profane, the unclean from the clean,	10 Così anche avrete la scienza per distinguere il sacro dal profano, il mondo dall'immondo,
11 and when you teach the Israelites any of the decrees that Yahweh has pronounced for them throughMoses.'	11 e per insegnare a' figli d'Israele tutte le mie leggi, quelle che il Signore ha fatte loro conoscere per mezzo di Mosè».
12 Moses said to Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Take the cereal offering left overfrom the food burnt for Yahweh. Eat the unleavened part of it beside the altar, since it is especial y holy.	12 Mosè poi disse al Aronne, ed a' suoi figli superstiti Eleazar e Itamar: «Prendete ciò che è rimasto del sacrifizio offerto al Signore, e mangiatelo senza fermento presso all'altare; perchè è cosa santissima.
13 Eat it in the holy place, since it is the portion of the food burnt for Yahweh that is prescribed for youand your sons; this is the order I have received.	13 Lo mangerete nel luogo santo, perchè è stato assegnato a te ed ai tuoi figliuoli di fra le oblazioni del Signore, come mi è stato prescritto.
14 'You, your sons and daughters with you, wil eat in a clean place the forequarter offered and the thighpresented, for these have been given to you and your children as your due from the Israelites' communionsacrifices.	14 Anche il petto che è stato offerto, e la spalla che è stata messa da parte, la mangerai in un luogo interamente puro, tu, i tuoi figliuoli e le tue figliuole. Sono infatti riservate a te ed ai tuoi figli, di fra le vittime salutari de' figli d'Israele;
15 The thigh presented and the forequarter offered, once the fat has been burnt, revert to you and yoursons with you, after they have been presented before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in virtue of aperpetual law as Yahweh has ordered.'	15 giacchè la spalla il petto, e le parti grasse che si bruciano sull'altare, furono elevate innanzi al Signore, e spettano a te ed ai tuoi figliuoli per legge perpetua, come ha comandato il Signore».
16 Moses then enquired careful y about the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, and found that they hadburnt it. He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's surviving sons, and said,	16 Frattanto Mosè, informandosi del capro offerto per il peccato, trovò che era stato tutto bruciato. Perciò, sdegnato contro Eleazar e Itamar figli superstiti di Aronne, disse:
17 'Why did you not eat this victim for sin in the holy place, since it is especial y holy and was given toyou to take away the community's guilt, by performing the rite of expiation for them before Yahweh?	17 «Perchè non avete mangiato nel luogo santo l'ostia offerta per il peccato, che è cosa santissima, ed è data a voi acciò portiate il peccato della moltitudine, e preghiate per essa innanzi al Signore?
18 Since its blood was not taken inside the sanctuary, you should have eaten its meat there, as Iordered you.'	18 Tanto più che non è di quelle il cui sangue vien portato nel santuario, e dovevate mangiarla voi nel recinto del santuario, come mi è stato comandato?».
19 Aaron said to Moses, 'Look, today they offered their sacrifice for sin and their burnt offering beforeYahweh, and these disasters have befal en me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would this have met withYahweh's approval?'	19 Rispose Aronne: «Oggi è stata offerta innanzi al Signore la vittima per il peccato e l'olocausto; ma a me è accaduto quel che tu hai visto. Come potevo io mangiarne, o piacere al Signore nelle sue cerimonie, con l'anima in pianto?».
20 And when Moses heard this, he was satisfied.	20 Il che avendo udito Mosè, si tenne per soddisfatto.
