Leviticus 10

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu each took his censer, put fire in it and incense on the fire, andpresented unauthorised fire before Yahweh, which was not in accordance with his orders.	1 I figli di Aronne, Nadab e Abiu, presero ognuno il proprio braciere e vi misero il fuoco, vi posero sopra l'incenso e presentarono al Signore un fuoco profano, che non era stato loro prescritto.
2 At this a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and swal owed them up, and they perished beforeYahweh.	2 Un fuoco uscì allora dalla presenza del Signore e li divorò, ed essi morirono alla presenza del Signore.
3 Moses then said to Aaron, 'That is what Yahweh meant when he said: In those who are close to me Ishow my holiness, and before al the people I show my glory.' Aaron remained silent.	3 Mosè disse ad Aronne: "Questo è ciò che mi aveva detto il Signore con le parole: "In coloro che mi stanno vicino manifesto la mia santità; di fronte a tutto il popolo dimostro la mia gloria". Aronne tacque.
4 Moses summoned Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Aaron's uncle Uzziel, and said to them, 'Come hereand take your brothers away from the sanctuary, out of the camp.'	4 Mosè chiamò Misael ed Elsafan, figli di Uziel, zio di Aronne e disse loro: "Avvicinatevi e portate i vostri fratelli lontano dal santuario, fuori del campo".
5 They came and carried them away, still in their tunics, out of the camp, as Moses had said.	5 Essi si avvicinarono e li sollevarono nelle loro tuniche, come aveva detto Mosè.
6 Moses said to Aaron and his sons Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Do not disorder your hair or tear your clothes;or you may incur death and his retribution may overtake the whole community. No, it is for the entire House ofIsrael to lament your brothers who have been the victims of Yahweh's fire.	6 Mosè disse ad Aronne, a Eleazaro e a Itamar, suoi figli: "Non scompigliatevi i capelli e non stracciatevi le vesti, per non morire. E' contro tutta la comunità d'Israele che Egli è adirato; i vostri fratelli, tutta la casa d'Israele, piangano per quanto il Signore ha arso.
7 To avoid incurring death, do not leave the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for Yahweh's anointing oilis on you.' And they did as Moses said.	7 Non uscite dalla porta della tenda del convegno, affinché non abbiate a morire, perché l'olio dell'unzione del Signore è su di voi". Essi fecero come aveva detto Mosè.
8 Yahweh spoke to Aaron and said:	8 Il Signore disse ad Aronne:
9 'When you come to the Tent of Meeting, you and your sons with you, to avoid incurring death you maynot drink wine or any other fermented liquor. This is a perpetual law for all your descendants.	9 "Quando venite alla tenda del convegno non bevete, né tu né i tuoi figli, vino o bevanda inebriante e così non morrete. Legge eterna per le vostre generazioni.
10 And so shal it be also when you separate the sacred from the profane, the unclean from the clean,	10 Dovete distinguere il sacro dal profano e l'impuro dal puro,
11 and when you teach the Israelites any of the decrees that Yahweh has pronounced for them throughMoses.'	11 e insegnare ai figli d'Israele tutte le leggi che il Signore ha detto a voi per mezzo di Mosè".
12 Moses said to Aaron and his surviving sons, Eleazar and Ithamar, 'Take the cereal offering left overfrom the food burnt for Yahweh. Eat the unleavened part of it beside the altar, since it is especial y holy.	12 Mosè disse ad Aronne e ai suoi figli superstiti Eleazaro e Itamar: "Prendete fra i doni del Signore quanto resta dell'oblazione e mangiatelo senza lievito accanto all'altare perché è cosa sacrosanta.
13 Eat it in the holy place, since it is the portion of the food burnt for Yahweh that is prescribed for youand your sons; this is the order I have received.	13 Mangiatela in luogo sacro, perché è la tua parte e la parte dei tuoi figli tra i doni del Signore; infatti così mi è stato comandato.
14 'You, your sons and daughters with you, wil eat in a clean place the forequarter offered and the thighpresented, for these have been given to you and your children as your due from the Israelites' communionsacrifices.	14 Il petto del rito della presentazione e la coscia del prelevamento li mangerete in luogo puro tu, i tuoi figli e le tue figlie con te, perché è la tua parte e la parte dei tuoi figli, che vi è data fra le vittime dei sacrifici di comunione dei figli d'Israele.
15 The thigh presented and the forequarter offered, once the fat has been burnt, revert to you and yoursons with you, after they have been presented before Yahweh with the gesture of offering, in virtue of aperpetual law as Yahweh has ordered.'	15 La coscia dell'offerta e il petto che accompagnano i doni delle parti grasse consumate, dopo essere state offerte con il rito della presentazione davanti al Signore, appartengono a te e ai tuoi figli come legge eterna, secondo quanto ha comandato il Signore".
16 Moses then enquired careful y about the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, and found that they hadburnt it. He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's surviving sons, and said,	16 Mosè s'informò accuratamente del capro del sacrificio espiatorio, ed ecco che lo avevano bruciato! Egli si adirò contro Eleazaro e Itamar, figli superstiti di Aronne, e disse:
17 'Why did you not eat this victim for sin in the holy place, since it is especial y holy and was given toyou to take away the community's guilt, by performing the rite of expiation for them before Yahweh?	17 "Perché non avete mangiato la vittima espiatoria in luogo sacro? Infatti è cosa sacrosanta, ed è stata data a voi per togliere l'iniquità della comunità e compiere per voi il rito espiatorio alla presenza del Signore.
18 Since its blood was not taken inside the sanctuary, you should have eaten its meat there, as Iordered you.'	18 Poiché il sangue di essa non è stato portato all'interno del santuario, dovevate mangiarla nel santuario, come avevo comandato".
19 Aaron said to Moses, 'Look, today they offered their sacrifice for sin and their burnt offering beforeYahweh, and these disasters have befal en me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would this have met withYahweh's approval?'	19 Aronne disse a Mosè: "Ecco che oggi avevano offerto il loro sacrificio espiatorio e il loro olocausto alla presenza del Signore, e mi sono capitate simili cose! Se avessi mangiato la vittima espiatoria oggi, sarebbe piaciuto al Signore?".
20 And when Moses heard this, he was satisfied.	20 Mosè ascoltò e gli sembrò giusto.
