Isaiah 63

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah in crimson garments, so magnificently dressed, marchingso ful of strength? - It is I, whose word is saving justice, whose power is to save.	1 ¿Quién es ese que llega desde Edom, desde Bosrá, con las ropas enrojecidas? ¿Quién es ese, ataviado espléndidamente, que se yergue con la plenitud de su poder? –Soy yo, el que habla con justicia, yo, el poderoso para salvar.
2 -Why are your garments red, your clothes like someone treading the winepress?	2 –¿Por qué están rojas tus vestiduras, y tu ropa como la del que pisa el lagar?
3 -I have trodden the winepress alone; of my people, not one was with me. So I trod them down in myanger, I trampled on them in my wrath. Their blood squirted over my garments and al my clothes are stained.	3 –En la cuba he pisado yo solo, nadie de entre los pueblos estaba conmigo. Los he pisoteado con ira, los he estrujado con furor; su sangre salpicó mi ropa y manché todas mis vestiduras.
4 For I have decided on a day of vengeance, my year of retribution has come.	4 Porque tenía previsto un día de venganza y había llegado mi año de redención.
5 I looked: there was no one to help me; I was appal ed but could find no supporter! Then my own armcame to my rescue and my own fury supported me.	5 Miré, y no había quien me socorriera; me sorprendí de que nadie me sostuviera. Entonces me socorrió mi brazo y mi furor me sostuvo.
6 I crushed the peoples in my anger, I shattered them in my fury and sent their blood streaming to theground.	6 Pisoteé a los pueblos en mi ira, los embriagué en mi furor, hice correr su sangre hasta el suelo.
7 I shal recount Yahweh's acts of faithful love, Yahweh's praises, in return for all that Yahweh has donefor us, for his great kindness to the House of Israel, for all that he has done in his mercy, for the abundance ofhis acts of faithful love.	7 Recordaré los favores del Señor, alabaré sus proezas, por todo el bien que nos hizo en su compasión y en la abundancia de su misericordia.
8 For he said, 'Truly they are my people, children who will not betray me,' and he became their Saviour.	8 El dijo: «Realmente son mi Pueblo, son hijos que no decepcionarán». Y él fue para ellos un salvador
9 In al their troubles, it was no messenger or angel but his presence that saved them. In his love and pityhe himself redeemed them, lifted them up and carried them throughout the days of old.	9 en todas sus angustias. No intervino ni un emisario ni un mensajero: él mismo, en persona, los salvó; por su amor y su clemencia, él mismo los redimió; los levantó y los llevó en todos los tiempos pasados.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit. Then he became their enemy and himself waged war onthem.	10 Pero ellos ser rebelaron y afligieron su santo espíritu. Entonces él se volvió su enemigo y combatió contra ellos.
11 But he cal ed the past to mind, Moses his servant. Where is he who saved them from the sea, theShepherd of his flock? Where was he who put his holy Spirit among them,	11 Ellos se acordaron de los días del pasado, de Moisés, su servidor: ¿Dónde está el que hizo subir de las aguas al pastor de su rebaño? ¿Dónde está el que puso dentro de él su santo espíritu,
12 whose glorious arm led the way by Moses' right hand? Who divided the waters before them to winhimself everlasting renown,	12 el que hizo marchar su brazo glorioso a la derecha de Moisés, el que separó las aguas delante de ellos, para ganarse un renombre eterno?
13 who led them through the depths as easily as a horse through the desert? They stumbled as little	13 ¿Dónde está el que los condujo por el fondo del Océano, como a un caballo por el desierto, sin que ellos tropezaran?
14 as cattle going down to the plain. Yahweh's Spirit led them to rest. This was how you guided yourpeople to win yourself glorious renown.	14 Como a ganado que desciende al valle, el espíritu del Señor les dio un descanso. ¡Así guiaste a tu Pueblo para hacerte un Nombre glorioso!
15 Look down from heaven and see from your holy and glorious dwel ing. Where is your zeal and yourmight? Are your deepest feelings, your mercy to me, to be restrained?	15 Mira desde el cielo y contempla, desde tu santo y glorioso dominio. ¿Dónde están tus celos y tu valor, tu ternura entrañable y tu compasión? ¡No, no permanezcas insensible!
16 After all, you are our Father. If Abraham will not own us, if Israel wil not acknowledge us, you,Yahweh, are our Father, 'Our Redeemer' is your name from of old.	16 Porque tú eres nuestro padre, porque Abraham no nos conoce ni Israel se acuerda de nosotros. ¡Tú, Señor, eres nuestro padre, «nuestro Redentor» es tu Nombre desde siempre!
17 Why, Yahweh, do you let us wander from your ways and let our hearts grow too hard to fear you?Return, for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your heritage.	17 ¿Por qué, Señor, nos desvías de tus caminos y endureces nuestros corazones para que dejen de temerte? ¡Vuelve, por amor a tus servidores y a las tribus de tu herencia!
18 Your holy people have owned it for so short a time, our enemies have trampled on your sanctuary.	18 ¿Por qué los impíos hollaron tu Lugar santo y nuestros adversarios pisotearon tu Santuario?
19 We have long been like those you do not rule, people who do not bear your name. Oh, that you wouldtear the heavens open and come down -- in your presence the mountains would quake,	19 ¡Desde hace mucho tiempo, tú no nos gobiernas, y ya no somos llamados por tu Nombre! ¡Si rasgaras el cielo y descendieras las montañas se disolverían delante de ti,
