Isaiah 63

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah in crimson garments, so magnificently dressed, marchingso ful of strength? - It is I, whose word is saving justice, whose power is to save.	1 - ¿Quién es ése que viene de Edom, de Bosrá, con ropaje teñido de rojo? ¿Ese del vestido esplendoroso, y de andar tan esforzado? - Soy yo que hablo con justicia, un gran libertador.
2 -Why are your garments red, your clothes like someone treading the winepress?	2 - Y ¿por qué está de rojo tu vestido, y tu ropaje como el de un lagarero?
3 -I have trodden the winepress alone; of my people, not one was with me. So I trod them down in myanger, I trampled on them in my wrath. Their blood squirted over my garments and al my clothes are stained.	3 - El lagar he pisado yo solo; de mi pueblo no hubo nadie conmigo. Los pisé con ira, los pateé con furia, y salpicó su sangre mis vestidos, y toda mi vestimenta he manchado.
4 For I have decided on a day of vengeance, my year of retribution has come.	4 ¡Era el día de la venganza que tenía pensada, el año de mi desquite era llegado!
5 I looked: there was no one to help me; I was appal ed but could find no supporter! Then my own armcame to my rescue and my own fury supported me.	5 Miré bien y no había auxiliador; me asombré de que no hubiera quien apoyase. Así que me salvó mi propio brazo, y fue mi furia la que me sostuvo.
6 I crushed the peoples in my anger, I shattered them in my fury and sent their blood streaming to theground.	6 Pisoteé a pueblos en mi ira, los pise con furia e hice correr por tierra su sangre.
7 I shal recount Yahweh's acts of faithful love, Yahweh's praises, in return for all that Yahweh has donefor us, for his great kindness to the House of Israel, for all that he has done in his mercy, for the abundance ofhis acts of faithful love.	7 Las misericordias de Yahveh quiero recordar, las alabanzas de Yahveh, por todo lo que nos ha premiado Yahveh, por la gran bondad para la casa de Israel, que tuvo con nosotros en su misericordia, y por la abundancia de sus bondades.
8 For he said, 'Truly they are my people, children who will not betray me,' and he became their Saviour.	8 Dijo él: «De cierto que ellos son mi pueblo, hijos que no engañarán». Y fue él su Salvador
9 In al their troubles, it was no messenger or angel but his presence that saved them. In his love and pityhe himself redeemed them, lifted them up and carried them throughout the days of old.	9 en todas sus angustias. No fue un mensajero ni un ángel: él mismo en persona los liberó. Por su amor y su compasión él los rescató: los levantó y los llevó todos los días desde siempre.
10 But they rebelled and vexed his holy Spirit. Then he became their enemy and himself waged war onthem.	10 Mas ellos se rebelaron y contristaron a su Espíritu santo, y él se convirtió en su enemigo, guerreó contra ellos.
11 But he cal ed the past to mind, Moses his servant. Where is he who saved them from the sea, theShepherd of his flock? Where was he who put his holy Spirit among them,	11 Entonces se acordó de los días antiguos, de Moisés su siervo. ¿Dónde está el que los sacó de la mar, el pastor de su rebaño? ¿Dónde el que puso en él su Espíritu santo,
12 whose glorious arm led the way by Moses' right hand? Who divided the waters before them to winhimself everlasting renown,	12 el que hizo que su brazo fuerte marchase al lado de Moisés, el que hendió las aguas ante ellos para hacerse un nombre eterno,
13 who led them through the depths as easily as a horse through the desert? They stumbled as little	13 el que les hizo andar por los abismos como un caballo por el desierto, sin que tropezaran,
14 as cattle going down to the plain. Yahweh's Spirit led them to rest. This was how you guided yourpeople to win yourself glorious renown.	14 cual ganado que desciende al valle? El Espíritu de Yahveh los llevó a descansar. Así guiaste a tu pueblo, para hacerte un nombre glorioso.
15 Look down from heaven and see from your holy and glorious dwel ing. Where is your zeal and yourmight? Are your deepest feelings, your mercy to me, to be restrained?	15 observa desde los cielos y ve desde tu aposento santo y glorioso. ¿Dónde está tu celo y tu fuerza, la conmoción de tus entrañas? ¿Es que tus entrañas se han cerrado para mí?
16 After all, you are our Father. If Abraham will not own us, if Israel wil not acknowledge us, you,Yahweh, are our Father, 'Our Redeemer' is your name from of old.	16 Porque tú eres nuestro Padre, que Abraham no nos conoce, ni Israel nos recuerda. Tú, Yahveh, eres nuestro Padre, tu nombre es «El que nos rescata» desde siempre.
17 Why, Yahweh, do you let us wander from your ways and let our hearts grow too hard to fear you?Return, for the sake of your servants, the tribes of your heritage.	17 ¿Por qué nos dejaste errar, Yahveh, fuera de tus caminos, endurecerse nuestros corazones lejos de tu temor? Vuélvete, por amor de tus siervos, por las tribus de tu heredad.
18 Your holy people have owned it for so short a time, our enemies have trampled on your sanctuary.	18 ¿Por qué el enemigo ha invalido tu santuario, tu santuario han pisoteado nuestros opresores?
19 We have long been like those you do not rule, people who do not bear your name. Oh, that you wouldtear the heavens open and come down -- in your presence the mountains would quake,	19 Somos desde antiguo gente a la que no gobiernas, no se nos llama por tu nombre. ¡Ah si rompieses los cielos y descendieses - ante tu faz los montes se derretirían,
