Isaiah 53

1 Who has given credence to what we have heard? And who has seen in it a revelation of Yahweh'sarm?	1 - Chi ha creduto a quel che ha udito da noi? e il braccio del Signore a chi è stato rivelato?
2 Like a sapling he grew up before him, like a root in arid ground. He had no form or charm to attract us,no beauty to win our hearts;	2 E crescerà come rampollo dinanzi a lui, come radice dall'arida terra; non ha bellezza alcuna nè splendore, noi l'abbiamo visto e non aveva alcuna apparenza che attirasse i nostri sguardi.
3 he was despised, the lowest of men, a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering, one from whom, as itwere, we averted our gaze, despised, for whom we had no regard.	3 Abbietto, l'ultimo degli uomini, l'uomo dei dolori, che conosce la sofferenza, e quasi cerca di nascondersi la faccia: così abbietto che non ne abbiamo fatto alcun conto.
4 Yet ours were the sufferings he was bearing, ours the sorrows he was carrying, while we thought of himas someone being punished and struck with affliction by God;	4 Veramente delle nostre infermità egli si è caricato e si è addossati i nostri dolori: e noi l'abbiamo riputato come un lebbroso e percosso da Dio e umiliato.
5 whereas he was being wounded for our rebel ions, crushed because of our guilt; the punishmentreconciling us fel on him, and we have been healed by his bruises.	5 Ma egli è stato trafitto per le nostre iniquità, è stato maltrattato per le nostre colpe: il castigo per la nostra rappacificazione fu addossato a lui, e per le sue piaghe siamo stati risanati.
6 We had al gone astray like sheep, each taking his own way, and Yahweh brought the acts of rebellionof al of us to bear on him.	6 Tutti noi, come pecorelle smarrite, ci eravamo sviati: ciascuno aveva declinato verso il suo proprio cammino: e il Signore fece ricadere su di lui le iniquità di tutti noi.
7 Il -treated and afflicted, he never opened his mouth, like a lamb led to the slaughter-house, like a sheepdumb before its shearers he never opened his mouth.	7 È stato sacrificato perchè lo ha voluto, e non ha aperto la sua bocca; come pecorella sarà condotto al macello, e come agnello sotto al tosatore, non farà un lamento e non aprirà bocca.
8 Forcibly, after sentence, he was taken. Which of his contemporaries was concerned at his having beencut off from the land of the living, at his having been struck dead for his people's rebel ion?	8 Dall'oppressione e dal giudizio fu tolto di mezzo: chi potrà narrare la sua generazione, che fu reciso dalla terra dei viventi, percosso per le colpe del mio popolo?
9 He was given a grave with the wicked, and his tomb is with the rich, although he had done no violence,had spoken no deceit.	9 Coi malfattori gli è destinata sepoltura e con un ricco che provveda per la sua morte; perchè egli non ha commesso iniquità, nè inganno vi fu mai nella sua bocca.
10 It was Yahweh's good pleasure to crush him with pain; if he gives his life as a sin offering, he wil seehis offspring and prolong his life, and through him Yahweh's good pleasure wil be done.	10 Piacque al Signore di percuoterlo coi patimenti; quando avrà dato l'anima sua pel peccato, vedrà una generazione di lunga durata e la volontà del Signore in mano sua prospererà.
11 After the ordeal he has endured, he wil see the light and be content. By his knowledge, the uprightone, my servant wil justify many by taking their guilt on himself.	11 Perchè l'anima sua dovette soffrire, vedrà e si satollerà; colla sua dottrina egli il giusto, mio servo, renderà giusti molti e porterà sopra di sè le loro iniquità.
12 Hence I shall give him a portion with the many, and he wil share the booty with the mighty, for havingexposed himself to death and for being counted as one of the rebel ious, whereas he was bearing the sin ofmany and interceding for the rebel ious.	12 Perciò gli farò parte di molti, e dei potenti dividerà le spoglie; perchè ha offerto se stesso alla morte, e fu messo nel novero degli scellerati; e ha portato i peccati di molti e ha interceduto pei trasgressori.
