Isaiah 53

1 Who has given credence to what we have heard? And who has seen in it a revelation of Yahweh'sarm?	1 Chi ha creduto a quel, che ha udito da noi? E il braccio del Signore a chi è stato rivelato?
2 Like a sapling he grew up before him, like a root in arid ground. He had no form or charm to attract us,no beauty to win our hearts;	2 Perocché egli spunterà dinanzi a lui qual virgulto, e quasi tallo da sua radice in arida terra. Egli non ha vaghezza, né splendore, e noi l'abbiamo veduto, e non era bello a vedersi, e noi non avemmo inclinazione per lui.
3 he was despised, the lowest of men, a man of sorrows, familiar with suffering, one from whom, as itwere, we averted our gaze, despised, for whom we had no regard.	3 Dispregiato, e l'infimo degli uomini, uomo ai dolori, e che conosce il patire. Ed era quasi ascoso il suo volto, ed egli era vilipeso, onde noi non ne facemmo alcun conto.
4 Yet ours were the sufferings he was bearing, ours the sorrows he was carrying, while we thought of himas someone being punished and struck with affliction by God;	4 Veramente i nostri languori gli ha egli presi sopra di se, ed ha portati i nostri dolori; e noi lo abbiam riputato come un lebbroso, e come flagellato da Dio, ed umiliato.
5 whereas he was being wounded for our rebel ions, crushed because of our guilt; the punishmentreconciling us fel on him, and we have been healed by his bruises.	5 Ma egli è stato piagato a motivo delle nostre iniquità, è stato spezzato per le nostre scelleratezze. Il gastigo cagione di nostra pace, cade sopra di lui, e pelle lividure di lui siam noi risanati.
6 We had al gone astray like sheep, each taking his own way, and Yahweh brought the acts of rebellionof al of us to bear on him.	6 Tutti noi siamo stati come pecore erranti, ciaschedun per la strada sua deviò: e il Signore pose addosso a lui le iniquità di tutti noi.
7 Il -treated and afflicted, he never opened his mouth, like a lamb led to the slaughter-house, like a sheepdumb before its shearers he never opened his mouth.	7 E stato offerto, perchè egli ha voluto, e non ha aperta la sua bocca: come pecorella sarà condotto a essere ucciso, e come un agnello muto si sta dinanzi a colui, che lo tosa, così egli non aprirà la sua bocca.
8 Forcibly, after sentence, he was taken. Which of his contemporaries was concerned at his having beencut off from the land of the living, at his having been struck dead for his people's rebel ion?	8 Dopo la oppressione della condanna egli fu innalzato. La generazione di lui chi la spiegherà? Or egli dalla terra dei viventi e stato reciso: per le scelleraggini del popol mio io lo ho percosso.
9 He was given a grave with the wicked, and his tomb is with the rich, although he had done no violence,had spoken no deceit.	9 E alla sepoltura di lui concederà (Dio) gli empj, e l'uom facoltoso alla morte di lui; perchè egli non ha commessa iniquità, e fraude nella sua bocca non fu.
10 It was Yahweh's good pleasure to crush him with pain; if he gives his life as a sin offering, he wil seehis offspring and prolong his life, and through him Yahweh's good pleasure wil be done.	10 E il Signore volle consumarlo nei patimenti: se egli darà l'anima sua ostia per lo peccato, vedrà una di scendenza di lunga durata, e la volontà del Signore per mezzo di lui sarà adempiuta.
11 After the ordeal he has endured, he wil see the light and be content. By his knowledge, the uprightone, my servant wil justify many by taking their guilt on himself.	11 Perchè l'anima di lui ebbe affanno, vedrà, e saranne satollo: colla sua dottrina lo stesso mio servo giustificherà molti, e prenderà egli sopra di se le loro iniquità.
12 Hence I shall give him a portion with the many, and he wil share the booty with the mighty, for havingexposed himself to death and for being counted as one of the rebel ious, whereas he was bearing the sin ofmany and interceding for the rebel ious.	12 Per questo darò a lui per sua porzione una gran moltitudine; ed egli acquisterà le spoglie dei forti, perchè ha dato l'anima sua alla morte, ed è stato confuso cogli scellerati: ed ha portati peccati di molti, ed ha fatta orazione pe' trasgressori.
