Isaiah 52

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Awake, awake! Clothe yourself in strength, Zion. Put on your finest clothes, Jerusalem, Holy City; forthe uncircumcised and the unclean will enter you no more.	1 Déstati, déstati, rivèstiti della tua forza, o Sion! Indossa le vesti più splendide, o Gerusalemme, città santa! Perché non entreranno più in te l'incirconciso e l'impuro.
2 Shake off your dust; get up, captive Jerusalem! The chains have fal en from your neck, captivedaughter of Jerusalem!	2 Scuotiti dalla polvere, alzati, siediti, Gerusalemme! Sciogliti i legami del tuo collo, figlia di Sion prigioniera!
3 For Yahweh says this, 'You were sold for nothing; you wil be redeemed without money.'	3 Perché così parla il Signore: "Voi siete stati venduti senza compenso e sarete riscattati senza denaro".
4 For the Lord Yahweh says this, 'Long ago my people went to Egypt and settled there as aliens; final yAssyria oppressed them for no reason.	4 Perché così parla il Signore Dio: "Il mio popolo anticamente discese in Egitto per soggiornarvi; e l'Assiria l'ha oppresso senza ragione.
5 So now what is to be done,' declares Yahweh, 'since my people have been carried off for nothing, theirmasters howl in triumph,' declares Yahweh, 'and my name is held in contempt all day, every day?	5 Ma ora, che cosa faccio io qui? Oracolo del Signore. Sì, il mio popolo è stato deportato gratuitamente, i suoi tiranni erompono in grida di gioia, oracolo del Signore, e continuamente, ogni giorno il mio nome è disprezzato.
6 Because of this my people wil know my name, because of this they will know when the day comes,that it is I saying, Here I am!'	6 Perciò il mio popolo conoscerà in quel giorno il mio nome, poiché io sono colui che dice: Eccomi".
7 How beautiful on the mountains, are the feet of the messenger announcing peace, of the messenger ofgood news, who proclaims salvation and says to Zion, 'Your God is king!'	7 Come sono belli sulle montagne i piedi del messaggero che annuncia la pace, che reca una buona notizia, che annuncia la salvezza, che dice a Sion: "Il tuo Dio regna"!
8 The voices of your watchmen! Now they raise their voices, shouting for joy together, for with their owneyes they have seen Yahweh returning to Zion.	8 Una voce! Le tue sentinelle alzano la voce, insieme gridano di gioia, perché vedono con i loro occhi il Signore, che ritorna in Sion.
9 Break into shouts together, shouts of joy, you ruins of Jerusalem; for Yahweh has consoled his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem.	9 Esultate, acclamate insieme, o rovine di Gerusalemme! Perché il Signore consola il suo popolo, redime Gerusalemme.
10 Yahweh has bared his holy arm for al the nations to see, and al the ends of the earth have seen thesalvation of our God.	10 Il Signore mette a nudo il braccio della sua santità davanti a tutti i popoli, e tutti i confini della terra vedranno la salvezza del nostro Dio.
11 Go away, go away, leave that place, do not touch anything unclean. Get out of her, purify yourselves,you who carry Yahweh's vessels!	11 Fuori, fuori, partite di là, non toccate nulla d'impuro! Uscite da lei, purificatevi, voi che portate gli utensili del Signore!
12 For you are not to hurry away, you are not to leave like fugitives. No, Yahweh marches at your headand the God of Israel is your rearguard.	12 Poiché non uscirete in fretta, non ve ne andrete come fuggitivi, perché davanti a voi marcia il Signore e vostra retroguardia è il Dio d'Israele.
13 Look, my servant will prosper, wil grow great, wil rise to great heights.	13 Ecco, il mio servo avrà successo, sarà innalzato, elevato ed esaltato grandemente.
14 As many people were aghast at him -- he was so inhumanly disfigured that he no longer looked like aman-	14 Come molti si stupirono di lui -- talmente sfigurato era il suo aspetto al di là di quello di un uomo, e la sua figura al di là di quella dei figli dell'uomo --
15 so many nations wil be astonished and kings wil stay tight-lipped before him, seeing what had neverbeen told them, learning what they had not heard before.	15 così molte nazioni resteranno attonite, i re chiuderanno la bocca a suo riguardo, perché vedranno ciò che non era stato loro narrato, e comprenderanno ciò che non avevano udito.
