Isaiah 50

1 Thus says Yahweh: Where is your mother's writ of divorce by which I repudiated her? Or to which ofmy creditors have I sold you? Look, you have been sold for your own misdeeds, your mother was repudiated foryour acts of rebel ion.	1 - Così dice il Signore: «Qual è il libello del ripudio della vostra madre, con cui l'ho rimandata? o chi è quel creditore mio a cui vi ho venduti? Ecco che voi per le vostre iniquità siete stati venduti, e per le vostre scelleraggini mi avete fatto ripudiare vostra madre.
2 Why was there no one there when I came? Why did no one answer when I cal ed? Is my hand too shortto redeem? Have I not strength to save? Look, with a threat I can dry the sea, and turn rivers to desert; the fishin them go rotten for want of water and die of thirst.	2 Perchè sono venuto, e non c'era nessuno; ho chiamato, e non vi fu alcuno che desse ascolto; forse che la mia mano si è accorciata e impiccolita da non poter più redimere? o non c'è più in me forza per liberare? Ecco, con una minaccia isterilisco il mare, dissecco i fiumi: marciscono senza acqua i pesci e muoiono di sete!
3 I dress the heavens in black, I cover them in sackcloth.	3 Io vesto i cieli a bruno, e li copro di nero velo».
4 Lord Yahweh has given me a disciple's tongue, for me to know how to give a word of comfort to theweary. Morning by morning he makes my ear alert to listen like a disciple.	4 Il Signore mi ha dato una lingua erudita affinchè io sappia sostentare colla parola chi è stanco, egli mi riscuote al mattino, mi ridesta le orecchie, affinchè io lo ascolti come maestro.
5 Lord Yahweh has opened my ear and I have not resisted, I have not turned away.	5 Il Signore mi ha aperto l'orecchio ed io non contradico, non mi sono mai ritirato indietro.
6 I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have notturned my face away from insult and spitting.	6 Ho dato il mio corpo a quei che mi percotevano, e le mie guance a quei che mi strappavano la barba; non nascosi il mio volto a quegli che mi schernivano e che mi sputacchiavano.
7 Lord Yahweh comes to my help, this is why insult has not touched me, this is why I have set my facelike flint and know that I shal not be put to shame.	7 Il Signore Dio è mio aiuto, perciò non sono restato confuso, perciò ho reso la mia faccia come pietra durissima e so che non rimarrò confuso.
8 He who grants me saving justice is near! Who wil bring a case against me? Let us appear in courttogether! Who has a case against me? Let him approach me!	8 Colui che mi giustifica è presso di me, chi oserà litigare meco? Presentiamoci insieme, chi è il mio avversario? Si faccia avanti!
9 Look, Lord Yahweh is coming to my help! Who dares condemn me? Look at them, al fal ing apart likemoth-eaten clothes!	9 Ecco che il Signore ha preso le mie difese: chi oserà condannarmi? Ecco che tutti saranno consunti, come un vestimento la tignuola li divorerà.
10 Which of you fears Yahweh and listens to his servant's voice? Which of you walks in darkness andsees no light? Let him trust in the name of Yahweh and lean on his God!	10 Chi è tra voi che teme il Signore, che ascolta la voce del suo servo? Colui che camminò nelle tenebre e non ha avuta la luce speri sul monte del Signore e cerchi un sostegno nel suo Dio.
11 Look, al you who light a fire and arm yourselves with firebrands, walk by the light of your fire and thefirebrands you have kindled! This is what you will get from me: you wil lie down in torment!	11 Ecco, voi tutti che accendete fuoco, che siete cinti di dardi infiammati, andate nel lume del vostro fuoco e nelle fiamme che avete fatto avvampare. Dalla mia mano è stato a voi fatto questo, nei tormenti giacerete.
