Isaiah 50

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Thus says Yahweh: Where is your mother's writ of divorce by which I repudiated her? Or to which ofmy creditors have I sold you? Look, you have been sold for your own misdeeds, your mother was repudiated foryour acts of rebel ion.	1 Así habla el Señor: ¿Dónde está el acta de divorcio con la que despedí a la madre de ustedes? O bien, ¿a cuál de mis acreedores yo los he vendido? No, ustedes fueron vendidos por sus culpas, por los crímenes de ustedes fue despedida su madre
2 Why was there no one there when I came? Why did no one answer when I cal ed? Is my hand too shortto redeem? Have I not strength to save? Look, with a threat I can dry the sea, and turn rivers to desert; the fishin them go rotten for want of water and die of thirst.	2 ¿Por qué no había nadie cuando vine ni respondió nadie cuando llamé? ¿Será demasiado corta mi mano para rescatar? ¿No tengo fuerza para librar? Yo, con una amenaza, seco el mar y hago de los ríos un desierto; sus peces se pudren por falta de agua y se mueren de sed.
3 I dress the heavens in black, I cover them in sackcloth.	3 Yo visto los cielos de negro y los cubro con ropa de luto.
4 Lord Yahweh has given me a disciple's tongue, for me to know how to give a word of comfort to theweary. Morning by morning he makes my ear alert to listen like a disciple.	4 El mismo Señor me ha dado una lengua de discípulo, para que yo sepa reconfortar al fatigado con una palabra de aliento. Cada mañana, él despierta mi oído para que yo escuche como un discípulo.
5 Lord Yahweh has opened my ear and I have not resisted, I have not turned away.	5 El Señor abrió mi oído y yo no me resistí ni me volví atrás.
6 I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have notturned my face away from insult and spitting.	6 Ofrecí mi espalda a los que golpeaban y mis mejillas, a los que me arrancaban la barba; no retiré mi rostro cuando me ultrajaban y escupían.
7 Lord Yahweh comes to my help, this is why insult has not touched me, this is why I have set my facelike flint and know that I shal not be put to shame.	7 Pero el Señor viene en mi ayuda: por eso, no quedé confundido; por eso, endurecí mi rostro como el pedernal, y sé muy bien que no seré defraudado.
8 He who grants me saving justice is near! Who wil bring a case against me? Let us appear in courttogether! Who has a case against me? Let him approach me!	8 Está cerca el que me hace justicia: ¿quién me va a procesar? ¡Comparezcamos todos juntos! ¿Quién será mi adversario en el juicio? ¡Que se acerque hasta mí!
9 Look, Lord Yahweh is coming to my help! Who dares condemn me? Look at them, al fal ing apart likemoth-eaten clothes!	9 Sí, el Señor viene en mi ayuda: ¿quién me va a condenar? Todos ellos se gastarán como un vestido, se los comerá la polilla.
10 Which of you fears Yahweh and listens to his servant's voice? Which of you walks in darkness andsees no light? Let him trust in the name of Yahweh and lean on his God!	10 ¿Quién entre ustedes teme al Señor y escucha la voz de su Servidor? Aunque camine en las tinieblas, sin un rayo de luz, que confíe en el nombre del Señor y se apoye en su Dios.
11 Look, al you who light a fire and arm yourselves with firebrands, walk by the light of your fire and thefirebrands you have kindled! This is what you will get from me: you wil lie down in torment!	11 Pero ustedes, los que atizan el fuego y arman flechas incendiarias, caminen al resplandor de sus hogueras y entre las flechas que encendieron. Esto les sucederá por obra mía y ustedes yacerán en medio de tormentos.
