"Non distruggere". Di Davide. Miktam. Quando fuggì dalla presenza di Saul, nella caverna.
² I call to God the Most High, to God who has done everything for me;	² Abbi pietà di me, o Dio, abbi pietà, poiché in te si rifugia l'anima mia, all'ombra delle tue ali io attendo finché non sia passata la calamità.
³ may he send from heaven and save me, and check those who harry me;Pause may God send hisfaithful love and his constancy.	³ Invocherò il Dio Altissimo, Dio, il Giudice eccelso.
⁴ I lie surrounded by lions, greedy for human prey, their teeth are spears and arrows, their tongue asharp sword.	⁴ Mandi dal cielo a salvarmi, colpisca quelli che insidiano l'anima mia. Mandi Dio la sua misericordia e la sua fedeltà.
⁵ Be exalted above the heavens, God! Your glory over al the earth!	⁵ In mezzo a leoni devo riposare che cercano di divorare i figli degli uomini, i cui denti sono lancia e dardi, la cui lingua è spada affilata.
⁶ They laid a snare in my path -- I was bowed with care -- they dug a pit ahead of me, but fel in itthemselves.Pause	⁶ Sii esaltato fino al cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra s'estenda la tua gloria.
⁷ My heart is ready, God, my heart is ready; I wil sing, and make music for you.	⁷ Una rete hanno posto davanti ai miei piedi, hanno umiliato l'anima mia, hanno scavato davanti a me una fossa, ma sono caduti in essa.
⁸ Awake, my glory, awake, lyre and harp, that I may awake the Dawn.	⁸ Pronto è il mio cuore, o Dio, pronto è il mio cuore all'inno e al canto.
⁹ I will praise you among the peoples, Lord, I wil make music for you among nations,	⁹ Déstati, anima mia, destatevi, arpa e cetra: perché possa destar l'aurora.
¹⁰ for your faithful love towers to heaven, your constancy to the clouds.	¹⁰ Ti celebrerò fra i popoli, o Dio, e inneggerò a te fra le nazioni,
¹¹ Be exalted above the heavens, God! Your glory over al the earth!	¹¹ poiché grande fino al cielo, o Dio, è la tua misericordia, e fino agli eterei spazi la tua fedeltà.
	¹² Sii esaltato fino al cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra s'estenda la tua gloria.
