² I call to God the Most High, to God who has done everything for me;	² Pitié pour moi, ô Dieu, pitié pour moi, en toi s'abrite mon âme, à l'ombre de tes ailes je m'abrite,tant que soit passé le fléau.
³ may he send from heaven and save me, and check those who harry me;Pause may God send hisfaithful love and his constancy.	³ J'appelle vers Dieu le Très-Haut, le Dieu qui a tout fait pour moi;
⁴ I lie surrounded by lions, greedy for human prey, their teeth are spears and arrows, their tongue asharp sword.	⁴ que des cieux il envoie et me sauve, qu'il confonde celui qui me harcèle,
⁵ Be exalted above the heavens, God! Your glory over al the earth!	⁵ Mon âme est couchée parmi les lions, qui dévorent les fils d'Adam; leurs dents, une lance et desflèches, leur langue, une épée acérée.
⁶ They laid a snare in my path -- I was bowed with care -- they dug a pit ahead of me, but fel in itthemselves.Pause	⁶ O Dieu, élève-toi sur les cieux! Sur toute la terre, ta gloire!
⁷ My heart is ready, God, my heart is ready; I wil sing, and make music for you.	⁷ Ils tendaient un filet sous mes pas, mon âme était courbée; ils creusaient devant moi une trappe, ilssont tombés dedans.
⁸ Awake, my glory, awake, lyre and harp, that I may awake the Dawn.	⁸ Mon coeur est prêt, ô Dieu, mon coeur est prêt; je veux chanter, je veux jouer pour toi!
⁹ I will praise you among the peoples, Lord, I wil make music for you among nations,	⁹ éveille-toi, ma gloire; éveille-toi, harpe, cithare, que j'éveille l'aurore!
¹⁰ for your faithful love towers to heaven, your constancy to the clouds.	¹⁰ Je veux te louer chez les peuples, Seigneur, jouer pour toi dans les pays;
¹¹ Be exalted above the heavens, God! Your glory over al the earth!	¹¹ grand jusqu'aux cieux ton amour, jusqu'aux nues, ta vérité.
