Psalms 126

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 [Song of Ascents] When Yahweh brought back Zion's captives we lived in a dream;	1 Cantique des montées. Quand Yahvé ramena les captifs de Sion, nous étions comme en rêve;
2 then our mouths fil ed with laughter, and our lips with song. Then the nations kept saying, 'What greatdeeds Yahweh has done for them!'	2 alors notre bouche s'emplit de rire et nos lèvres de chansons. Alors on disait chez les païens:Merveilles que fit pour eux Yahvé!
3 Yes, Yahweh did great deeds for us, and we were overjoyed.	3 Merveilles que fit pour nous Yahvé, nous étions dans la joie.
4 Bring back, Yahweh, our people from captivity like torrents in the Negeb!	4 Ramène, Yahvé, nos captifs comme torrents au Négeb!
5 Those who sow in tears sing as they reap.	5 Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes moissonnent en chantant.
6 He went off, went off weeping, carrying the seed. He comes back, comes back singing, bringing inhis sheaves.	6 Il s'en va, il s'en va en pleurant, il porte la semence; il s'en vient, il s'en vient en chantant, ilrapporte ses gerbes.
