1 [Song of Ascents Of David] If Yahweh had not been on our side -- let Israel repeat it-	1 Canción de las subidas. De David. Si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, - que lo diga Israel -
2 if Yahweh had not been on our side when people attacked us,	2 si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, cuando contra nosotros se alzaron los hombres,
3 they would have swal owed us alive in the heat of their anger.	3 vivos entonces nos habrían tragado en el fuego de su cólera.
4 Then water was washing us away, a torrent running right over us;	4 Entonces las aguas nos habrían anegado, habría pasado sobre nosotros un torrente,
5 running right over us then were turbulent waters.	5 habrían pasado entonces sobre nuestra alma aguas voraginosas.
6 Blessed be Yahweh for not letting us fall a prey to their teeth!	6 ¡Bendito sea Yahveh que no nos hizo presa de sus dientes!
7 We escaped like a bird from the fowlers' net. The net was broken and we escaped;	7 Nuestra alma como un pájaro escapó del lazo de los cazadores. El lazo se rompió y nosotros escapamos;
8 our help is in the name of Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.	8 nuestro socorro en el nombre de Yahveh, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
