Exodus 36

NEW JERUSALEM	VULGATA
1 'Bezalel, Oholiab and al the men whom Yahweh has endowed with the skil and knowledge to knowhow to carry out al the work to be done on the sanctuary, wil do exactly as Yahweh has ordered.'	1 Fecit ergo Beseleel, et Ooliab, et omnis vir sapiens, quibus dedit Dominus sapientiam et intellectum, ut scirent fabre operari quæ in usus sanctuarii necessaria sunt, et quæ præcepit Dominus.
2 Moses then summoned Bezalel, Oholiab and al the skil ed men whose hearts Yahweh had endowedwith skil , al whose heart stirred them to come forward and do the work.	2 Cumque vocasset eos Moyses et omnem eruditum virum, cui dederat Dominus sapientiam, et qui sponte sua obtulerant se ad faciendum opus,
3 From Moses they received everything that the Israelites had brought as contributions for carrying outthe work of building the sanctuary, and, as they went on bringing their offerings every morning,	3 tradidit eis universa donaria filiorum Israël. Qui cum instarent operi, quotidie mane vota populus offerebat.
4 the skil ed men who were doing all the work for the sanctuary, al left their particular work	4 Unde artifices venire compulsi,
5 and said to Moses, 'The people are bringing more than is needed for the work Yahweh has ordered tobe done.'	5 dixerunt Moysi : Plus offert populus quam necessarium est.
6 Moses then gave the order and proclamation was made throughout the camp, 'No one, whether manor woman, must do anything more towards contributing for the sanctuary.' So the people were prevented frombringing any more,	6 Jussit ergo Moyses præconis voce cantari : Nec vir, nec mulier quidquam offerat ultra in opere sanctuarii. Sicque cessatum est a muneribus offerendis,
7 for the material to hand was enough, and more than enough, to complete al the work.	7 eo quod oblata sufficerent et superabundarent.
8 Al the most skil ed of the men doing the work made the Dwelling. Moses made it with ten sheets offinely woven linen, dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson and embroidered with great winged creatures.	8 Feceruntque omnes corde sapientes ad explendum opus tabernaculi, cortinas decem de bysso retorta, et hyacintho, et purpura, coccoque bis tincto, opere vario, et arte polymita :
9 The length of a single sheet was twenty-eight cubits, its width four cubits, al the sheets being of thesame size.	9 quarum una habebat in longitudine viginti octo cubitos, et in latitudine quatuor ; una mensura erat omnium cortinarum.
10 He joined five of the sheets to one another, and the other five sheets to one another.	10 Conjunxitque cortinas quinque, alteram alteri, et alias quinque sibi invicem copulavit.
11 He made violet loops along the edge of the first sheet, at the end of the set, and did the same alongthe edge of the last sheet in the other set.	11 Fecit et ansas hyacinthinas in ora cortinæ unius ex utroque latere, et in ora cortinæ alterius similiter,
12 He made fifty loops on the first sheet and fifty loops along the outer edge of the sheet of the secondset, the loops corresponding to one another.	12 ut contra se invicem venirent ansæ, et mutuo jungerentur.
13 He made fifty gold clasps and joined the sheets together with the clasps. In this way the Dwel ing wasa unified whole.	13 Unde et quinquaginta fudit circulos aureos, qui morderent cortinarum ansas, et fieret unum tabernaculum.
14 Next he made sheets of goats' hair for the tent over the Dwel ing; he made eleven of these.	14 Fecit et saga undecim de pilis caprarum ad operiendum tectum tabernaculi :
15 The length of a single sheet was thirty cubits and its width four cubits; the eleven sheets were al ofthe same size.	15 unum sagum in longitudine habebat cubitos triginta, et in latitudine cubitos quatuor : unius mensuræ erant omnia saga :
16 He joined five sheets together into one set and six sheets into another.	16 quorum quinque junxit seorsum, et sex alia separatim.
17 He made fifty loops along the edge of the last sheet of the first set, and fifty loops along the edge ofthe sheet of the second set.	17 Fecitque ansas quinquaginta in ora sagi unius, et quinquaginta in ora sagi alterius, ut sibi invicem jungerentur.
18 He made fifty bronze clasps, to draw the tent together and make it a unified whole.	18 Et fibulas æneas quinquaginta, quibus necteretur tectum, ut unum pallium ex omnibus sagis fieret.
19 And for the tent he made a cover of rams' skins dyed red, and a cover of fine leather over that.	19 Fecit et opertorium tabernaculi de pellibus arietum rubricatis : aliudque desuper velamentum de pellibus janthinis.
20 For the Dwelling he made vertical frames of acacia wood.	20 Fecit et tabulas tabernaculi de lignis setim stantes.
21 Each frame was ten cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.	21 Decem cubitorum erat longitudo tabulæ unius : et unum ac semis cubitum latitudo retinebat.
22 Each frame had twin tenons; this was how he made al the frames for the Dwelling.	22 Binæ incastraturæ erant per singulas tabulas, ut altera alteri jungeretur. Sic fecit in omnibus tabernaculi tabulis.
23 He made frames for the Dwel ing: twenty frames for the south side, to the south,	23 E quibus viginti ad plagam meridianam erant contra austrum,
24 and made forty silver sockets under the twenty frames, two sockets under one frame for its twotenons, two sockets under the next frame for its two tenons;	24 cum quadraginta basibus argenteis. Duæ bases sub una tabula ponebantur ex utraque parte angulorum, ubi incastraturæ laterum in angulis terminantur.
25 and for the other side of the Dwel ing, the north side, twenty frames	25 Ad plagam quoque tabernaculi, quæ respicit ad aquilonem, fecit viginti tabulas,
26 and forty silver sockets, two sockets under one frame, two sockets under the next frame.	26 cum quadraginta basibus argenteis, duas bases per singulas tabulas.
27 For the back of the Dwel ing, on the west, he made six frames.	27 Contra occidentem vero, id est, ad eam partem tabernaculi quæ mare respicit, fecit sex tabulas,
28 He also made two frames for the corners at the back of the Dwel ing;	28 et duas alias per singulos angulos tabernaculi retro :
29 these were coupled together at the bottom, staying so up to the top, to the level of the first ring; thishe did with the two frames forming the two corners.	29 quæ junctæ erant a deorsum usque sursum, et in unam compaginem pariter ferebantur. Ita fecit ex utraque parte per angulos :
30 Thus there were eight frames with their sixteen silver sockets; two sockets under each frame.	30 ut octo essent simul tabulæ, et haberent bases argenteas sedecim, binas scilicet bases sub singulis tabulis.
31 He made crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames of the first side of the Dwel ing,	31 Fecit et vectes de lignis setim, quinque ad continendas tabulas unius lateris tabernaculi,
32 five crossbars for the frames of the other side of the Dwel ing and five crossbars for the frames whichformed the back of the Dwel ing, to the west.	32 et quinque alios ad alterius lateris coaptandas tabulas : et extra hos, quinque alios vectes ad occidentalem plagam tabernaculi contra mare.
33 He made the middle bar, to join the frames from one end to the other, halfway up.	33 Fecit quoque vectem alium, qui per medias tabulas ab angulo usque ad angulum perveniret.
34 He overlaid the frames with gold, made gold rings for them, through which to place the crossbars,and overlaid the crossbars with gold.	34 Ipsa autem tabulata deauravit, fusis basibus earum argenteis. Et circulos eorum fecit aureos, per quos vectes induci possent : quos et ipsos laminis aureis operuit.
35 He made a curtain of finely woven linen, dyed violet-purple, red-purple and crimson and embroideredwith great winged creatures,	35 Fecit et velum de hyacintho, et purpura, vermiculo, ac bysso retorta, opere polymitario, varium atque distinctum :
36 and for it he made four poles of acacia wood, overlaying them with gold, with golden hooks for them,for which he cast four sockets of silver.	36 et quatuor columnas de lignis setim, quas cum capitibus deauravit, fusis basibus earum argenteis.
37 For the entrance to the tent he made a screen of finely woven linen embroidered with violet-purple,red-purple and crimson,	37 Fecit et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi ex hyacintho, purpura, vermiculo, byssoque retorta, opere plumarii :
38 as also the five columns for it and their hooks; he overlaid their capitals and rods with gold, but theirfive sockets were of bronze.	38 et columnas quinque cum capitibus suis, quas operuit auro, basesque earum fudit æneas.
