Exodus 34

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones and come up to me on themountain, and I wil write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke.	1 ثم قال الرب لموسى انحت لك لوحين من حجر مثل الاولين. فأكتب انا على اللوحين الكلمات التي كانت على اللوحين الاولين الذين كسرتهما.
2 Be ready at dawn; at dawn come up Mount Sinai and wait for me there at the top of the mountain.	2 وكن مستعدا للصباح. واصعد في الصباح الى جبل سيناء وقف عندي هناك على راس الجبل.
3 No one may come up with you, no one may be seen anywhere on the mountain; the flocks and herdsmay not even graze in front of this mountain.'	3 ولا يصعد احد معك وايضا لا ير احد في كل الجبل. الغنم ايضا والبقر لا ترع الى جهة ذلك الجبل.
4 So he cut two tablets of stone like the first and, with the two tablets of stone in his hands, Moses wentup Mount Sinai in the early morning as Yahweh had ordered.	4 فنحت لوحين من حجر كالاولين. وبكر موسى في الصباح وصعد الى جبل سيناء كما امره الرب. واخذ في يده لوحي الحجر.
5 And Yahweh descended in a cloud and stood with him there and pronounced the name Yahweh.	5 فنزل الرب في السحاب. فوقف عنده هناك ونادى باسم الرب.
6 Then Yahweh passed before him and cal ed out, 'Yahweh, Yahweh, God of tenderness andcompassion, slow to anger, rich in faithful love and constancy,	6 فاجتاز الرب قدامه ونادى الرب الرب اله رحيم ورؤوف بطيء الغضب وكثير الاحسان والوفاء.
7 maintaining his faithful love to thousands, forgiving fault, crime and sin, yet letting nothing gounchecked, and punishing the parent's fault in the children and in the grandchildren to the third and fourthgeneration!'	7 حافظ الاحسان الى الوف. غافر الاثم والمعصية والخطية. ولكنه لن يبرئ ابراء مفتقد اثم الآباء في الابناء وفي ابناء الابناء في الجيل الثالث والرابع.
8 Moses immediately bowed to the ground in worship,	8 فاسرع موسى وخرّ الى الارض وسجد.
9 then he said, 'If indeed I do enjoy your favour, please, my Lord, come with us, although they are anobstinate people; and forgive our faults and sins, and adopt us as your heritage.'	9 وقال ان وجدت نعمة في عينيك ايها السيد فليسر السيد في وسطنا. فانه شعب صلب الرقبة. واغفر اثمنا وخطيتنا واتخذنا ملكا.
10 He then said, 'Look, I am now making a covenant: I shal work such wonders at the head of yourwhole people as have never been worked in any other country or nation, and all the people round you wil seewhat Yahweh can do, for what I shal do through you wil be awe-inspiring.	10 فقال ها انا قاطع عهدا قدام جميع شعبك افعل عجائب لم تخلق في كل الارض وفي جميع الامم. فيرى جميع الشعب الذي انت في وسطه فعل الرب. ان الذي انا فاعله معك رهيب
11 Mark, then, what I command you today. I am going to drive out the Amorites, the Canaanites, theHittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites and the Jebusites before you.	11 احفظ ما انا موصيك اليوم. ها انا طارد من قدامك الاموريين والكنعانيين والحثّيين والفرزّيين والحوّيين واليبوسيين.
12 Take care you make no pact with the inhabitants of the country which you are about to enter, or theywil prove a snare in your community.	12 احترز من ان تقطع عهدا مع سكان الارض التي انت آت اليها لئلا يصيروا فخا في وسطك.
13 You wil tear down their altars, smash their cultic stones and cut down their sacred poles,	13 بل تهدمون مذابحهم وتكسّرون انصابهم وتقطعون سواريهم.
14 for you wil worship no other god, since Yahweh's name is the Jealous One; he is a jealous God.	14 فانك لا تسجد لاله آخر لان الرب اسمه غيور. اله غيور هو.
15 Make no pact with the inhabitants of the country or, when they prostitute themselves to their owngods and sacrifice to them, they wil invite you and you wil partake of their sacrifice,	15 احترز من ان تقطع عهدا مع سكان الارض. فيزنون وراء آلهتهم ويذبحون لآلهتهم فتدعى وتأكل من ذبيحتهم.
16 and then you wil choose wives for your sons from among their daughters, and their daughters,prostituting themselves to their own gods, wil induce your sons to prostitute themselves to their gods.	16 وتأخذ من بناتهم لبنيك. فتزني بناتهم وراء آلهتهنّ ويجعلن بنيك يزنون وراء آلهتهنّ
17 'You wil not cast metal gods for yourself.	17 لا تصنع لنفسك آلهة مسبوكة.
18 'You wil observe the feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you wil eat unleavened bread, as Ihave commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in the month of Abib you came out ofEgypt.	18 تحفظ عيد الفطير. سبعة ايام تاكل فطيرا كما امرتك في وقت شهر ابيب. لانك في شهر ابيب خرجت من مصر.
19 'Al that first issues from the womb belongs to me: every male, every first-born of flock or herd.	19 لي كل فاتح رحم. وكل ما يولد ذكرا من مواشيك بكرا من ثور وشاة.
20 But the first-born donkey you wil redeem with an animal from the flock; if you do not redeem it, youmust break its neck. Al the first-born of your sons you will redeem, and no one wil appear before me empty-handed.	20 واما بكر الحمار فتفديه بشاة. وان لم تفده تكسر عنقه. كل بكر من بنيك تفديه. ولا يظهروا امامي فارغين.
21 'For six days you wil labour, but on the seventh day you wil rest; you wil stop work even duringploughing and harvesting.	21 ستة ايام تعمل. واما اليوم السابع فتستريح فيه. في الفلاحة وفي الحصاد تستريح.
22 'You wil observe the feast of Weeks, of the first-fruits of the wheat harvest, and the feast ofIngathering at the close of the year.	22 وتصنع لنفسك عيد الاسابيع ابكار حصاد الحنطة. وعيد الجمع في آخر السنة.
23 'Three times a year al your menfolk wil appear before Lord Yahweh, God of Israel,	23 ثلاث مرات في السنة يظهر جميع ذكورك امام السيد الرب اله اسرائيل.
24 for I shal dispossess the nations before you and extend your frontiers, and no one wil set his hearton your territory when you go away to appear before Yahweh your God three times a year.	24 فاني اطرد الامم من قدامك واوسع تخومك. ولا يشتهي احد ارضك حين تصعد لتظهر امام الرب الهك ثلاث مرات في السنة.
25 'You wil not offer the blood of my sacrificial victim with leavened bread, nor is the victim offered atthe feast of Passover to be left until the fol owing day.	25 لا تذبح على خمير دم ذبيحتي. ولا تبت الى الغد ذبيحة عيد الفصح.
26 'You wil bring the best of the first-fruits of your soil to the house of Yahweh your God. 'You wil notboil a kid in its mother's milk.'	26 اول ابكار ارضك تحضره الى بيت الرب الهك. لا تطبخ جديا بلبن امه
27 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Put these words in writing, for they are the terms of the covenant whichI have made with you and with Israel.'	27 وقال الرب لموسى اكتب لنفسك هذه الكلمات. لانني بحسب هذه الكلمات قطعت عهدا معك ومع اسرائيل.
28 He stayed there with Yahweh for forty days and forty nights, eating and drinking nothing, and on thetablets he wrote the words of the covenant -- the Ten Words.	28 وكان هناك عند الرب اربعين نهارا واربعين ليلة لم ياكل خبزا ولم يشرب ماء. فكتب على اللوحين كلمات العهد الكلمات العشر
29 When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, as hewas coming down the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face was radiant because he had beentalking to him.	29 وكان لما نزل موسى من جبل سيناء ولوحا الشهادة في يد موسى عند نزوله من الجبل ان موسى لم يعلم ان جلد وجهه صار يلمع في كلامه معه.
30 And when Aaron and al the Israelites saw Moses, the skin on his face was so radiant that they wereafraid to go near him.	30 فنظر هرون وجميع بني اسرائيل موسى واذا جلد وجهه يلمع. فخافوا ان يقتربوا اليه.
31 But Moses called to them, and Aaron and al the leaders of the community rejoined him, and Mosestalked to them,	31 فدعاهم موسى. فرجع اليه هرون وجميع الرؤساء في الجماعة. فكلمهم موسى.
32 after which al the Israelites came closer, and he passed on to them al the orders that Yahweh hadgiven to him on Mount Sinai.	32 وبعد ذلك اقترب جميع بني اسرائيل. فاوصاهم بكل ما تكلم به الرب معه في جبل سيناء.
33 Once Moses had finished speaking to them, he put a veil over his face.	33 ولما فرغ موسى من الكلام معهم جعل على وجهه برقعا.
34 Whenever Moses went into Yahweh's presence to speak with him, he took the veil off until he cameout. And when he came out, he would tel the Israelites what orders he had been given,	34 وكان موسى عند دخوله امام الرب ليتكلم معه ينزع البرقع حتى يخرج. ثم يخرج ويكلم بني اسرائيل بما يوصى.
35 and the Israelites would see Moses' face radiant. Then Moses would put the veil back over his faceuntil he went in to speak to him next time.	35 فاذا رأى بنو اسرائيل وجه موسى ان جلده يلمع كان موسى يرد البرقع على وجهه حتى يدخل ليتكلم معه
