Yah is my strength and my song, to him I owe my deliverance. He is my God and I shal praise him,my father's God and I shal extol him.2 The Lord is my strength and my praise, and he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I shall glorify him. He is the God of my father, and I shall exalt him.

The ocean has closed over them; they have sunk to the bottom like a stone.5 The abyss has covered them. They descended into the depths like a stone.
Your right hand, Yahweh, wins glory by its strength, your right hand, Yahweh, shatters your foes,6 Your right hand, O Lord, has been magnified in strength. Your right hand, O Lord, has struck down the enemy.
and by your great majesty you fell your assailants; you unleash your fury, it consumes them like chaff.7 And in the multitude of your glory you have put down your adversaries. You sent out your wrath, which devoured them like stubble.
A blast from your nostrils and the waters piled high; the waves stood firm as a dyke; the bed of the seabecame firm ground.8 And by the breath of your fury, the waters were gathered together. The flowing waves stood still. The abyss was gathered into the midst of the sea.
The enemy said, 'I shal give chase and overtake, 'I shal share out the spoil and glut myself on them, 'Ishall draw my sword, my hand wil destroy them.'9 The enemy said: ‘I will pursue and overtake them. I will divide the spoils. My soul will be filled. I will unsheathe my sword. My hand will put them to death.’
You blew with your breath, the sea closed over them; they sank like lead in the terrible waters.10 Your breath blew, and the sea covered them. They were submerged like lead into the mighty waters.
Yahweh, who is like you, majestic in sanctity, who like you among the holy ones, fearsome of deed, worker of wonders?11 Who is like you in strength, O Lord? Who is like you: magnificent in sanctity, terrible and yet praiseworthy, accomplishing miracles?
You stretched your right hand out, the earth swallowed them!12 You extended your hand, and the earth devoured them.
In your faithful love you led out the people you had redeemed, in your strength you have guided themto your holy dwel ing.13 In your mercy, you have been a leader to the people whom you have redeemed. And in your strength, you have carried them to your holy dwelling place.

On them fall terror and dread; through the power of your arm they are stil as stone while your peopleare passing, Yahweh, while the people you have purchased are passing.16 Let fear and dread fall upon them, by the magnitude of your arm. Let them become immobilized like stone, until your people cross through, O Lord, until this, your people whom you possess, cross through.
You wil bring them in and plant them on the mountain which is your heritage, the place which you,Yahweh, have made your dwel ing, the sanctuary, Yahweh, prepared by your own hands.17 You shall lead them in and plant them, on the mountain of your inheritance, in your most firm dwelling place, which you have formed, O Lord, your sanctuary, O Lord, which your hands have made firm.
Yahweh will be king for ever and ever.18 The Lord will reign in eternity and beyond.
For when Pharaoh's cavalry, with his chariots and horsemen, had gone into the sea, Yahweh broughtthe waters of the sea back over them, though the Israelites went on dry ground right through the sea.19 For the rider Pharaoh, with his chariots and horsemen, was brought into the sea.
