NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 It was then that Moses and the Israelites sang this song in Yahweh's honour: I shall sing to Yahweh,for he has covered himself in glory, horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.	1 Entonces Moisés y los israelitas cantaron este cántico a Yahveh. Dijeron: «Canto a Yahveh pues se cubrió de gloria arrojando en el mar caballo y carro.
2 Yah is my strength and my song, to him I owe my deliverance. He is my God and I shal praise him,my father's God and I shal extol him.	2 Mi fortaleza y mi canción es Yah. El es mi salvación. El, mi Dios, yo le glorifico, el Dios de mi padre, a quien exalto.
3 Yahweh is a warrior; Yahweh is his name.	3 ¡Un guerrero Yahveh, Yahveh es su nombre!
4 Pharaoh's chariots and army he has hurled into the sea the pick of his officers have been drowned inthe Sea of Reeds.	4 Los carros de Faraón y sus soldados precipitó en el mar. La flor de sus guerreros tragó el mar de Suf;
5 The ocean has closed over them; they have sunk to the bottom like a stone.	5 cubriólos el abismo, hasta el fondo cayeron como piedra.
6 Your right hand, Yahweh, wins glory by its strength, your right hand, Yahweh, shatters your foes,	6 Tu diestra, Yahveh, relumbra por su fuerza; tu diestra, Yahveh, aplasta al enemigo.
7 and by your great majesty you fell your assailants; you unleash your fury, it consumes them like chaff.	7 En tu gloria inmensa derribas tus contrarios, desatas tu furor y los devora como paja.
8 A blast from your nostrils and the waters piled high; the waves stood firm as a dyke; the bed of the seabecame firm ground.	8 Al soplo de tu ira se apiñaron las aguas, se irguieron las olas como un dique, los abismos cuajaron en el corazón del mar.
9 The enemy said, 'I shal give chase and overtake, 'I shal share out the spoil and glut myself on them, 'Ishall draw my sword, my hand wil destroy them.'	9 Dijo el enemigo: «Marcharé a su alcance, repartiré despojos, se saciará mi alma, sacaré mi espada y los aniquilará mi mano.»
10 You blew with your breath, the sea closed over them; they sank like lead in the terrible waters.	10 Mandaste tu soplo, cubriólos el mar; se hundieron como plomo en las temibles aguas.
11 Yahweh, who is like you, majestic in sanctity, who like you among the holy ones, fearsome of deed,worker of wonders?	11 ¿Quién como tú, Yahveh, entre los dioses? ¿Quién como tú, glorioso en santidad, terrible en prodigios, autor de maravillas?
12 You stretched your right hand out, the earth swallowed them!	12 Tendiste tu diestra y los tragó la tierra.
13 In your faithful love you led out the people you had redeemed, in your strength you have guided themto your holy dwel ing.	13 Guiaste en tu bondad al pueblo rescatado. Tu poder los condujo a tu santa morada.
14 Hearing of this, the peoples tremble; pangs seize on the people of Philistia;	14 Oyéronlo los pueblos, se turbaron, dolor como de parto en Filistea.
15 the chieftains of Edom are dismayed, Moab's princes -- panic has seized them, all the inhabitants ofCanaan have melted away.	15 Los príncipes de Edom se estremecieron, se angustiaron los jefes de Moab y todas las gentes de Canaán temblaron.
16 On them fall terror and dread; through the power of your arm they are stil as stone while your peopleare passing, Yahweh, while the people you have purchased are passing.	16 Pavor y espanto cayó sobre ellos. La fuerza de tu brazo los hizo enmudecer como una piedra, hasta que pasó tu pueblo, oh Yahveh, hasta pasar el pueblo que compraste.
17 You wil bring them in and plant them on the mountain which is your heritage, the place which you,Yahweh, have made your dwel ing, the sanctuary, Yahweh, prepared by your own hands.	17 Tú le llevas y le plantas en el monte de tu herencia, hasta el lugar que tú te has preparado para tu sede, ¡oh Yahveh! Al santuario, Adonay, que tus manos prepararon.
18 Yahweh will be king for ever and ever.	18 ¡Yahveh reinará por siempre jamás!»
19 For when Pharaoh's cavalry, with his chariots and horsemen, had gone into the sea, Yahweh broughtthe waters of the sea back over them, though the Israelites went on dry ground right through the sea.	19 Porque cuando los caballos de Faraón y los carros con sus guerreros entraron en el mar, Yahveh hizo que las aguas del mar volvieran sobre ellos, mientras que los israelitas pasaron a pie enjuto por medio del mar.
20 The prophetess Miriam, Aaron's sister, took up a tambourine, and all the women fol owed her withtambourines, dancing,	20 María, la profetisa, hermana de Aarón tomó en sus manos un tímpano y todas la mujeres la seguían con tímpanos y danzando en coro.
21 while Miriam took up from them the refrain: Sing to Yahweh, for he has covered himself in glory,horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.	21 Y María les entonaba el estribillo: «Cantad a Yahveh pues se cubrió de gloria. arrojando en el mar caballo y carro.»
22 Moses led Israel away from the Sea of Reeds, and they entered the desert of Shur. They thentravel ed through the desert for three days without finding water.	22 Moisés hizo partir a los israelitas del mar de Suf y se dirigieron hacia el desierto de Sur: caminaron tres días por el desierto sin encontrar agua.
23 When they reached Marah, they could not drink the Marah water because it was bitter; this is why theplace was named Marah.	23 Luego llegaron a Mará, porque era amarga. Por eso se llama aquel lugar Mará.
24 The people complained to Moses saying, 'What are we to drink?'	24 El pueblo murmuró contra Moisés, diciendo: «¿Qué vamos a beber?»
25 Moses appealed to Yahweh for help, and Yahweh showed him a piece of wood. When Moses threwit into the water, the water became sweet. There he laid down a statute and law for them and there he put themto the test. Then he said,	25 Entonces Moisés invocó a Yahveh, y Yahveh le mostró un madero que Moisés echó al agua, y el agua se volvió dulce. Allí dio a Israel decretos y normas, y allí le puso a prueba.
26 'If you listen careful y to the voice of Yahweh your God and do what he regards as right, if you payattention to his commandments and keep al his laws, I shal never inflict on you any of the diseases that Iinflicted on the Egyptians, for I am Yahweh your Healer.'	26 Y dijo: «Si de veras escuchas la voz de Yahveh, tu Dios, y haces lo que es recto a sus ojos, dando oídos a sus mandatos y guardando todos sus preceptos, no traeré sobre ti ninguna de las plagas que envié sobre los egipcios; porque yo soy Yahveh, el que te sana.»
27 So they came to Elim where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees; and there theypitched camp beside the water.	27 Después llegaron a Elim, donde hay doce fuentes de agua y setenta palmeras, y acamparon allí junto a las aguas.
