Genesis 22

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 It happened some time later that God put Abraham to the test. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he called. 'Here Iam,' he replied.	1 وحدث بعد هذه الامور ان الله امتحن ابراهيم. فقال له يا ابراهيم. فقال هانذا.
2 God said, 'Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where youare to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shal point out to you.'	2 فقال خذ ابنك وحيدك الذي تحبه اسحق واذهب الى ارض المريّا واصعده هناك محرقة على احد الجبال الذي اقول لك.
3 Early next morning Abraham saddled his donkey and took with him two of his servants and his sonIsaac. He chopped wood for the burnt offering and started on his journey to the place which God had indicated tohim.	3 فبكّر ابراهيم صباحا وشدّ على حماره واخذ اثنين من غلمانه معه واسحق ابنه وشقّق حطبا لمحرقة وقام وذهب الى الموضع الذي قال له الله.
4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.	4 وفي اليوم الثالث رفع ابراهيم عينيه وابصر الموضع من بعيد.
5 Then Abraham said to his servants, 'Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there;we shal worship and then come back to you.'	5 فقال ابراهيم لغلاميه اجلسا انتما ههنا مع الحمار. واما انا والغلام فنذهب الى هناك ونسجد ثم نرجع اليكما.
6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering, loaded it on Isaac, and carried in his own hands the fireand the knife. Then the two of them set out together.	6 فاخذ ابراهيم حطب المحرقة ووضعه على اسحق ابنه واخذ بيده النار والسكين. فذهبا كلاهما معا.
7 Isaac spoke to his father Abraham. 'Father?' he said. 'Yes, my son,' he replied. 'Look,' he said, 'hereare the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?'	7 وكلم اسحق ابراهيم اباه وقال يا ابي. فقال هانذا يا ابني. فقال هوذا النار والحطب ولكن اين الخروف للمحرقة.
8 Abraham replied, 'My son, God himself wil provide the lamb for the burnt offering.' And the two ofthem went on together.	8 فقال ابراهيم الله يرى له الخروف للمحرقة يا ابني. فذهبا كلاهما معا
9 When they arrived at the place which God had indicated to him, Abraham built an altar there, andarranged the wood. Then he bound his son and put him on the altar on top of the wood.	9 فلما أتيا الى الموضع الذي قال له الله بنى هناك ابراهيم المذبح ورتب الحطب وربط اسحق ابنه ووضعه على المذبح فوق الحطب.
10 Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to kill his son.	10 ثم مدّ ابراهيم يده واخذ السكين ليذبح ابنه.
11 But the angel of Yahweh cal ed to him from heaven. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he said. 'Here I am,' hereplied.	11 فناداه ملاك الرب من السماء وقال ابراهيم ابراهيم. فقال هانذا.
12 'Do not raise your hand against the boy,' the angel said. 'Do not harm him, for now I know you fearGod. You have not refused me your own beloved son.'	12 فقال لا تمد يدك الى الغلام ولا تفعل به شيئا. لاني الآن علمت انك خائف الله فلم تمسك ابنك وحيدك عني.
13 Then looking up, Abraham saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Abraham took the ram andoffered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.	13 فرفع ابراهيم عينيه ونظر واذا كبش وراءه ممسكا في الغابة بقرنيه. فذهب ابراهيم واخذ الكبش واصعده محرقة عوضا عن ابنه.
14 Abraham cal ed this place 'Yahweh provides', and hence the saying today: 'On the mountain Yahwehprovides.'	14 فدعا ابراهيم اسم ذلك الموضع يهوه يرأه. حتى انه يقال اليوم في جبل الرب يرى
15 The angel of Yahweh cal ed Abraham a second time from heaven.	15 ونادى ملاك الرب ابراهيم ثانية من السماء
16 'I swear by my own self, Yahweh declares, that because you have done this, because you have notrefused me your own beloved son,	16 وقال بذاتي اقسمت يقول الرب. اني من اجل انك فعلت هذا الامر ولم تمسك ابنك وحيدك
17 I wil shower blessings on you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven andthe grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants wil gain possession of the gates of their enemies.	17 اباركك مباركة واكثر نسلك تكثيرا كنجوم السماء وكالرمل الذي على شاطئ البحر. ويرث نسلك باب اعدائه.
18 Al nations on earth wil bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed mycommand.'	18 ويتبارك في نسلك جميع امم الارض. من اجل انك سمعت لقولي.
19 Abraham went back to his servants, and together they set out for Beersheba, and Abraham settled inBeersheba.	19 ثم رجع ابراهيم الى غلاميه. فقاموا وذهبوا معا الى بئر سبع. وسكن ابراهيم في بئر سبع
20 It happened some time later that Abraham received word that Milcah, too, had now borne sons to hisbrother Nahor:	20 وحدث بعد هذه الامور ان ابراهيم أخبر وقيل له هوذا ملكة قد ولدت ايضا بنين لناحور اخيك.
21 Uz his first-born, Buz his brother, Kemuel father of Aram,	21 عوصا بكره وبوزا اخاه وقموئيل ابا ارام
22 Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, Bethuel	22 وكاسد وحزوا وفلداش ويدلاف وبتوئيل.
23 (and Bethuel was the father of Rebekah). These were the eight children Milcah gave Nahor,Abraham's brother.	23 وولد بتوئيل رفقة. هؤلاء الثمانية ولدتهم ملكة لناحور اخي ابراهيم.
24 He had a concubine named Reumah, and she too had children: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash andMaacah.	24 واما سرّيته واسمها رؤومة فولدت هي ايضا طابح وجاحم وتاحش ومعكة
