Genesis 22

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 It happened some time later that God put Abraham to the test. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he called. 'Here Iam,' he replied.	1 Nach diesen Ereignissen stellte Gott Abraham auf die Probe. Er sprach zu ihm: Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.
2 God said, 'Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where youare to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shal point out to you.'	2 Gott sprach: Nimm deinen Sohn, deinen einzigen, den du liebst, Isaak, geh in das Land Morija und bring ihn dort auf einem der Berge, den ich dir nenne, als Brandopfer dar.
3 Early next morning Abraham saddled his donkey and took with him two of his servants and his sonIsaac. He chopped wood for the burnt offering and started on his journey to the place which God had indicated tohim.	3 Frühmorgens stand Abraham auf, sattelte seinen Esel, holte seine beiden Jungknechte und seinen Sohn Isaak, spaltete Holz zum Opfer und machte sich auf den Weg zu dem Ort, den ihm Gott genannt hatte.
4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.	4 Als Abraham am dritten Tag aufblickte, sah er den Ort von weitem.
5 Then Abraham said to his servants, 'Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there;we shal worship and then come back to you.'	5 Da sagte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten: Bleibt mit dem Esel hier! Ich will mit dem Knaben hingehen und anbeten; dann kommen wir zu euch zurück.
6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering, loaded it on Isaac, and carried in his own hands the fireand the knife. Then the two of them set out together.	6 Abraham nahm das Holz für das Brandopfer und lud es seinem Sohn Isaak auf. Er selbst nahm das Feuer und das Messer in die Hand. So gingen beide miteinander.
7 Isaac spoke to his father Abraham. 'Father?' he said. 'Yes, my son,' he replied. 'Look,' he said, 'hereare the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?'	7 Nach einer Weile sagte Isaak zu seinem Vater Abraham: Vater! Er antwortete: Ja, mein Sohn! Dann sagte Isaak: Hier ist Feuer und Holz. Wo aber ist das Lamm für das Brandopfer?
8 Abraham replied, 'My son, God himself wil provide the lamb for the burnt offering.' And the two ofthem went on together.	8 Abraham entgegnete: Gott wird sich das Opferlamm aussuchen, mein Sohn. Und beide gingen miteinander weiter.
9 When they arrived at the place which God had indicated to him, Abraham built an altar there, andarranged the wood. Then he bound his son and put him on the altar on top of the wood.	9 Als sie an den Ort kamen, den ihm Gott genannt hatte, baute Abraham den Altar, schichtete das Holz auf, fesselte seinen Sohn Isaak und legte ihn auf den Altar, oben auf das Holz.
10 Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to kill his son.	10 Schon streckte Abraham seine Hand aus und nahm das Messer, um seinen Sohn zu schlachten.
11 But the angel of Yahweh cal ed to him from heaven. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he said. 'Here I am,' hereplied.	11 Da rief ihm der Engel des Herrn vom Himmel her zu: Abraham, Abraham! Er antwortete: Hier bin ich.
12 'Do not raise your hand against the boy,' the angel said. 'Do not harm him, for now I know you fearGod. You have not refused me your own beloved son.'	12 Jener sprach: Streck deine Hand nicht gegen den Knaben aus und tu ihm nichts zuleide! Denn jetzt weiß ich, dass du Gott fürchtest; du hast mir deinen einzigen Sohn nicht vorenthalten.
13 Then looking up, Abraham saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Abraham took the ram andoffered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.	13 Als Abraham aufschaute, sah er: Ein Widder hatte sich hinter ihm mit seinen Hörnern im Gestrüpp verfangen. Abraham ging hin, nahm den Widder und brachte ihn statt seines Sohnes als Brandopfer dar.
14 Abraham cal ed this place 'Yahweh provides', and hence the saying today: 'On the mountain Yahwehprovides.'	14 Abraham nannte jenen Ort Jahwe-Jire (Der Herr sieht), wie man noch heute sagt: Auf dem Berg lässt sich der Herr sehen.
15 The angel of Yahweh cal ed Abraham a second time from heaven.	15 Der Engel des Herrn rief Abraham zum zweiten Mal vom Himmel her zu
16 'I swear by my own self, Yahweh declares, that because you have done this, because you have notrefused me your own beloved son,	16 und sprach: Ich habe bei mir geschworen - Spruch des Herrn: Weil du das getan hast und deinen einzigen Sohn mir nicht vorenthalten hast,
17 I wil shower blessings on you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven andthe grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants wil gain possession of the gates of their enemies.	17 will ich dir Segen schenken in Fülle und deine Nachkommen zahlreich machen wie die Sterne am Himmel und den Sand am Meeresstrand. Deine Nachkommen sollen das Tor ihrer Feinde einnehmen.
18 Al nations on earth wil bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed mycommand.'	18 Segnen sollen sich mit deinen Nachkommen alle Völker der Erde, weil du auf meine Stimme gehört hast.
19 Abraham went back to his servants, and together they set out for Beersheba, and Abraham settled inBeersheba.	19 Darauf kehrte Abraham zu seinen Jungknechten zurück. Sie machten sich auf und gingen miteinander nach Beerscheba. Abraham blieb in Beerscheba wohnen.
20 It happened some time later that Abraham received word that Milcah, too, had now borne sons to hisbrother Nahor:	20 Nach diesen Ereignissen meldete man Abraham: Auch Milka hat deinem Bruder Nahor Söhne geboren:
21 Uz his first-born, Buz his brother, Kemuel father of Aram,	21 Uz, seinen Erstgeborenen, dessen Bruder Bus sowie Kemuël, den Stammvater der Aramäer,
22 Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, Bethuel	22 ferner Kesed, Haso, Pildasch, Jidlaf und Betuël.
23 (and Bethuel was the father of Rebekah). These were the eight children Milcah gave Nahor,Abraham's brother.	23 Betuël zeugte Rebekka. Diese acht gebar Milka dem Nahor, dem Bruder Abrahams. Er hatte noch eine Nebenfrau namens Rëuma.
24 He had a concubine named Reumah, and she too had children: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash andMaacah.	24 Auch sie bekam Kinder, nämlich Tebach, Gaham, Tahasch und Maacha.
