Genesis 22

1 It happened some time later that God put Abraham to the test. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he called. 'Here Iam,' he replied.	1 - Dopo accadute queste cose, Dio mise a prova Abramo, e gli disse: «Abramo, Abramo!». Questi rispose: «Eccomi».
2 God said, 'Take your son, your only son, your beloved Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, where youare to offer him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains which I shal point out to you.'	2 Gli disse Iddio: «Prendi l'unico figlio tuo diletto, Isacco; va' nella terra della visione, ed ivi offrilo in olocausto su quello di quei monti che io ti mostrerò».
3 Early next morning Abraham saddled his donkey and took with him two of his servants and his sonIsaac. He chopped wood for the burnt offering and started on his journey to the place which God had indicated tohim.	3 Abramo dunque, alzatosi di buon mattino, sellò il suo asino, prese con sè due servi ed Isacco suo figlio; e tagliate le legna per l'olocausto, s'incamminò al luogo comandato da Dio.
4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance.	4 Al terzo giorno, alzati gli occhi, vide in distanza il luogo [prefissogli],
5 Then Abraham said to his servants, 'Stay here with the donkey. The boy and I are going over there;we shal worship and then come back to you.'	5 e disse ai servi: «Aspettate qui con l'asino; io ed il fanciullo ci affretteremo sin là; dopo che avremo sacrificato, torneremo a voi».
6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering, loaded it on Isaac, and carried in his own hands the fireand the knife. Then the two of them set out together.	6 Prese dunque le legna per l'olocausto, e ne caricò Isacco suo figlio; egli poi portava in mano il fuoco ed il coltello. Andando i due insieme,
7 Isaac spoke to his father Abraham. 'Father?' he said. 'Yes, my son,' he replied. 'Look,' he said, 'hereare the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?'	7 disse Isacco al padre: «Padre mio!». Ed egli: «Che vuoi, figliuolo?». Disse Isacco: «Ecco il fuoco e le legna; ma la vittima per l'olocausto, dov'è?».
8 Abraham replied, 'My son, God himself wil provide the lamb for the burnt offering.' And the two ofthem went on together.	8 Rispose Abramo: «Figlio mio, Dio si preparerà da sè la vittima per l'olocausto». Così andavano insieme.
9 When they arrived at the place which God had indicated to him, Abraham built an altar there, andarranged the wood. Then he bound his son and put him on the altar on top of the wood.	9 Giunsero al luogo che Dio aveva mostrato ad Abramo, e quivi edificò l'altare, e vi compose sopra le legna. Poi, legato Isacco, figlio suo, lo mise sull'altare sul fascio della legna,
10 Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to kill his son.	10 stese la mano, e prese il coltello per immolare il figliuolo.
11 But the angel of Yahweh cal ed to him from heaven. 'Abraham, Abraham!' he said. 'Here I am,' hereplied.	11 Ed ecco l'angelo del Signore gli gridò: «Abramo, Abramo!». Il quale rispose: «Eccomi».
12 'Do not raise your hand against the boy,' the angel said. 'Do not harm him, for now I know you fearGod. You have not refused me your own beloved son.'	12 Disse l'angelo: «Non stendere la mano sopra il fanciullo, e non gli fare alcun male; ho conosciuto abbastanza che temi il Signore, e non risparmiavi per me l'unico figlio tuo».
13 Then looking up, Abraham saw a ram caught by its horns in a bush. Abraham took the ram andoffered it as a burnt offering in place of his son.	13 Abramo alzò gli occhi, e vide dietro di sè un ariete incagliato con le corna in un cespuglio; e presolo, lo offerse in olocausto invece del figlio.
14 Abraham cal ed this place 'Yahweh provides', and hence the saying today: 'On the mountain Yahwehprovides.'	14 Ed a quel luogo mise nome: " Il Signore vede ". Onde anc'oggi si suol dire: "Sul monte il Signore vedrà".
15 The angel of Yahweh cal ed Abraham a second time from heaven.	15 L'angelo del Signore chiamò poi per la seconda volta Abramo dal cielo, dicendo:
16 'I swear by my own self, Yahweh declares, that because you have done this, because you have notrefused me your own beloved son,	16 «Su me medesimo ho giurato, dice il Signore: - Poichè hai fatto questo, senza riguardare all'unico figlio tuo, per me,
17 I wil shower blessings on you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars of heaven andthe grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants wil gain possession of the gates of their enemies.	17 io ti benedirò, e moltiplicherò la tua discendenza come le stelle del cielo, e come l'arena che è sul lido del mare; la tua stirpe terrà le porte dei suoi nemici,
18 Al nations on earth wil bless themselves by your descendants, because you have obeyed mycommand.'	18 e nella tua discendenza saranno benedetti tutti i popoli della terra, perchè hai obbedito alla mia voce -».
19 Abraham went back to his servants, and together they set out for Beersheba, and Abraham settled inBeersheba.	19 Dipoi Abramo ritornò ai suoi servi, ed insieme s'indirizzarono a Bersabee, dove abitava.
20 It happened some time later that Abraham received word that Milcah, too, had now borne sons to hisbrother Nahor:	20 Accadute queste cose, fu annunziato ad Abramo che anche Melca aveva partorito dei figli al fratello di lui, Nacor;
21 Uz his first-born, Buz his brother, Kemuel father of Aram,	21 Hus primogenito, Buz suo fratello, Camuel padre de' Siri,
22 Chesed, Hazo, Pildash, Jidlaph, Bethuel	22 Cased, Azau, Feldas, Iedlaf,
23 (and Bethuel was the father of Rebekah). These were the eight children Milcah gave Nahor,Abraham's brother.	23 e Batuel dal quale poi nacque Rebecca; questi otto furon generati da Melca a Nacor fratello di Abramo.
24 He had a concubine named Reumah, and she too had children: Tebah, Gaham, Tahash andMaacah.	24 L'altra sua donna poi, di nome Roma, partorì Tabee, Gaam, Taas e Maaca.
