Ezekiel 7

1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 Son of man, now say: Thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel: An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land!	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, riferisci: Così dice Dio, mio Signore, alla terra d'Israele: la fine! E' giunta la fine sui quattro angoli della terra.
3 Now the end is upon you; I will unleash my anger against you and judge you according to your conduct and lay upon you the consequences of all your abominations.	3 Adesso è la fine per te; manderò la mia ira su di te, ti giudicherò secondo la tua condotta, ti rinfaccerò tutte le tue abominazioni.
4 I will not look upon you with pity nor have mercy; I will bring your conduct down upon you, and the consequences of your abominations shall be in your midst; then shall you know that I am the LORD.	4 E il mio occhio non avrà compassione, io non avrò pietà. Sì, ti rinfaccerò la tua condotta e rimarranno in te solo le tue abominazioni e così riconoscerete che io sono il Signore".
5 Thus says the Lord GOD: Disaster upon disaster! See it coming!	5 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: "Ecco, un male dietro l'altro è giunto.
6 An end is coming, the end is coming upon you! See it coming!	6 La fine è giunta, è giunta la fine; incombe su te; eccola giunta.
7 The climax has come for you who dwell in the land! The time has come, near is the day: a time of consternation, not of rejoicing.	7 E' giunta la sventura su di te, abitante della terra; è giunto il momento, s'è avvicinato il giorno della costernazione.
8 Soon now I will pour out my fury upon you and spend my anger upon you; I will judge you according to your conduct and lay upon you the consequences of all your abominations.	8 Ora, tra poco, riverserò il mio furore sopra di te, compirò la mia ira contro di te e ti giudicherò secondo la tua condotta e ti rinfaccerò tutte le tue abominazioni.
9 I will not look upon you with pity nor have mercy; I will deal with you according to your conduct, and the consequences of your abominations shall be in your midst; then shall you know that it is I, the LORD, who strike.	9 Il mio occhio non avrà compassione, io non avrò pietà. Sì, ti rinfaccerò la tua condotta e rimarranno in te solo le tue abominazioni. Riconoscerete che sono io, il Signore, a colpire.
10 See, the day of the LORD! See, the end is coming! Lawlessness is in full bloom, insolence flourishes,	10 Ecco il giorno, eccolo giunto. E' spuntata la sventura, la verga è fiorita, la superbia è matura.
11 violence has risen to support wickedness. It shall not be long in coming, nor shall it delay.	11 La violenza è cresciuta come verga dell'empio.
12 The time has come, the day dawns. Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller mourn, for wrath shall be upon all the throng.	12 E' giunto il momento, è arrivato il giorno. Chi compra non si rallegri e chi vende non si rattristi, perché la furia incombe su tutta la sua tumultuosa potenza.
13 The seller shall not regain what he sold as long as he lives, for wrath shall be upon all the throng. Because of his sins, no one shall preserve his life.	13 Sì, chi vende non torna alla merce venduta, ma nei viventi resta la vita; però nessuna forza economica ritornerà alla sua tumultuosa potenza e la vita di chi è nella colpa non si reggerà.
14 They shall sound the trumpet and make everything ready, yet no one shall go to war, for my wrath is upon all the throng.	14 Suonate la tromba. Ciascuno si metterà sull'attenti, ma non si andrà alla guerra; la mia furia incombe sopra tutta la sua tumultuosa potenza.
15 The sword is outside; pestilence and hunger are within. He that is in the country shall die by the sword; pestilence and famine shall devour those in the city.	15 La spada fuori, la peste e la fame in casa, chi è in campagna muore di spada e chi è in città lo consuma la fame e la peste.
16 Even those who escape and flee to the mountains like the doves of the valleys--I will put them all to death, each one for his own sins.	16 Rimarranno i loro superstiti e saranno sui monti come colombe tubanti, tutti tremanti ciascuno per la sua colpa.
17 All their hands shall be limp, and all their knees shall run with water.	17 Tutte le braccia si snervano e le ginocchia si sciolgono.
18 They shall put on sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; shame shall be on all their faces and baldness on all their heads.	18 Si avvolgono nel sacco, li copre l'orrore, la vergogna è su ogni faccia, e ogni testa è tosata.
19 They shall fling their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be considered refuse. Their silver and gold cannot save them on the day of the LORD'S wrath. They shall not be allowed to satisfy their craving or fill their bellies, for this has been the occasion of their sin.	19 Gettano via il loro argento e il loro oro nell'immondizia. Oro e argento non li possono salvare nel giorno dell'eccesso dell'ira del Signore. Non sazieranno la loro gola e non riempiranno il loro ventre, perché è stato per essi la causa delle loro colpe!
20 In the beauty of their ornaments they put their pride: they made of them their abominable images (their idols). For this reason I make them refuse.	20 Del più splendido ornamento hanno fatto un oggetto di arroganza e se ne sono fatte immagini inique: i loro schifosi idoli. Per questo glielo butto nell'immondizia.
21 I will hand them over as booty to foreigners, to be spoiled and defiled by the wicked of the earth.	21 Lo darò come preda agli stranieri, come bottino agli empi della terra che lo profaneranno.
22 I will turn away my face from them, and my treasure shall be profaned: robbers shall enter and profane it.	22 Distoglierò il mio volto da loro e quelli profaneranno il mio tesoro, vi entreranno i predoni e lo profaneranno.
23 They shall wreak slaughter, for the land is filled with bloodshed and the city full of violence.	23 Sì, la terra è piena di norme sanguinarie e la città è piena di violenza.
24 I will bring in the worst of the nations, who shall take possession of their houses. I will put an end to their proud strength, and their sanctuaries shall be profaned.	24 Farò giungere le peggiori delle genti che si impossesseranno delle loro case; farò cessare l'arroganza della loro forza e i loro santuari saranno profanati.
25 When anguish comes they shall seek peace, but there will be none.	25 E' giunto l'orrore; cercheranno la pace, ma invano.
26 There shall be disaster after disaster, rumor after rumor. Prophetic vision shall fade; instruction shall be lacking to the priest, and counsel to the elders,	26 Sopraggiunge una calamità dietro l'altra, cattive notizie una dietro l'altra. Quelli chiedono la visione al profeta, ma la legge vien meno al sacerdote e il consiglio agli anziani!
27 while the prince shall be enveloped in terror, and the hands of the common people shall tremble. I will deal with them according to their conduct, and according to their judgments I will judge them; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.	27 Il re è triste, il principe è coperto di desolazione e le braccia della popolazione sono tremanti. Li tratterò secondo la loro condotta e li giudicherò secondo le loro norme e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".
