2 Sing joyfully to God our strength; shout in triumph to the God of Jacob!	2 ¡Gritad de gozo a Dios, nuestra fuerza, aclamad al Dios de Jacob!
3 Take up a melody, sound the timbrel, the sweet-sounding harp and lyre.	3 ¡Entonad la salmodia, tocad el tamboril, la melodiosa cítara y el arpa;
4 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our solemn feast.	4 tocad la trompeta al nuevo mes, a la luna llena, el día de nuestra fiesta!
5 For this is a law in Israel, an edict of the God of Jacob,	5 Porque es una ley para Israel, una norma del Dios de Jacob;
6 Who made it a decree for Joseph when he came out of the land of Egypt. II I hear a new oracle:	6 un dictamen que él impuso en José, cuando salió contra el país de Egipto. Una lengua desconocida se oye:
7 "I relieved their shoulders of the burden; their hands put down the basket.	7 «Yo liberé sus hombros de la carga, sus manos la espuerta abandonaron;
8 In distress you called and I rescued you; unseen, I spoke to you in thunder; At the waters of Meribah I tested you and said: Selah	8 en la aflicción gritaste y te salvé. «Te respondí en el secreto del trueno, te probé junto a las aguas de Meribá. Pausa.
9 'Listen, my people, I give you warning! If only you will obey me, Israel!	9 Escucha, pueblo mío, yo te conjuro, ¡ah Israel, si quisieras escucharme!
10 There must be no foreign god among you; you must not worship an alien god.	10 «No haya en ti dios extranjero, no te postres ante dios extraño;
11 I, the LORD, am your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. Open wide your mouth that I may fill it.'	11 yo, Yahveh, soy tu Dios, que te hice subir del país de Egipto; abre toda tu boca, y yo la llenaré.
12 But my people did not listen to my words; Israel did not obey me.	12 «Pero mi pueblo no escuchó mi voz, Israel no me quiso obedecer;
13 So I gave them over to hardness of heart; they followed their own designs.	13 yo les abandoné a la dureza de su corazón, para que caminaran según sus designios.
14 But even now if my people would listen, if Israel would walk in my paths,	14 «¡Ah!, si mi pueblo me escuchara, si Israel mis caminos siguiera,
15 In a moment I would subdue their foes, against their enemies unleash my hand.	15 al punto yo abatiría a sus enemigos, contra sus adversarios mi mano volvería.
16 Those who hate the LORD would tremble, their doom sealed forever.	16 «Los que odian a Yahveh le adularían, y su tiempo estaría para siempre fijado;
17 But Israel I would feed with the finest wheat, satisfy them with honey from the rock."	17 y a él lo sustentaría con la flor del trigo, lo saciaría con la miel de la peña».
