For the leader; with stringed instruments. A psalm; a song.1 Unto the end, in, hymns, a psalm of a canticle for David.
May God be gracious to us and bless us; may God's face shine upon us. Selah2 May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may he cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.
So shall your rule be known upon the earth, your saving power among all the nations.3 That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations.
May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you!4 Let people confess to thee, O God: let all people give praise to thee.
May the nations be glad and shout for joy; for you govern the peoples justly, you guide the nations upon the earth. Selah5 Let the nations be glad and rejoice: for thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.
May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you!6 Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:
The earth has yielded its harvest; God, our God, blesses us.7 the earth hath yielded her fruit. May God, our God bless us,
May God bless us still; that the ends of the earth may revere our God.8 may God bless us: and all the ends of the earth fear him.
