1 Rejoice, you just, in the LORD; praise from the upright is fitting.	1 VOI giusti, giubilate nel Signore; La lode è decevole agli uomini diritti.
2 Give thanks to the LORD on the harp; on the ten-stringed lyre offer praise.	2 Celebrate il Signore colla cetera; Salmeggiategli col saltero e col decacordo.
3 Sing to God a new song; skillfully play with joyful chant.	3 Cantategli un nuovo cantico, Sonate maestrevolmente con giubilo.
4 For the LORD'S word is true; all his works are trustworthy.	4 Perciocchè la parola del Signore è diritta; E tutte le sue opere son fatte con verità.
5 The LORD loves justice and right and fills the earth with goodness.	5 Egli ama la giustizia e la dirittura; La terra è piena della benignità del Signore.
6 By the LORD'S word the heavens were made; by the breath of his mouth all their host.	6 I cieli sono stati fatti per la parola del Signore, E tutto il loro esercito per lo soffio della sua bocca.
7 The waters of the sea were gathered as in a bowl; in cellars the deep was confined.	7 Egli ha adunate le acque del mare come in un mucchio; Egli ha riposti gli abissi come in tesori.

9 For he spoke, and it came to be, commanded, and it stood in place.	9 Perciocchè egli disse la parola, e la cosa fu; Egli comandò, e la cosa surse.
10 The LORD foils the plan of nations, frustrates the designs of peoples.	10 Il Signore dissipa il consiglio delle genti, Ed annulla i pensieri de’ popoli.
11 But the plan of the LORD stands forever, wise designs through all generations.	11 Il consiglio del Signore dimora in eterno; I pensieri del suo cuore dimorano per ogni età
12 Happy the nation whose God is the LORD, the people chosen as his very own.	12 Beata la gente di cui il Signore è l’Iddio; Beato il popolo, il quale egli ha eletto per sua eredità.
13 From heaven the LORD looks down and observes the whole human race,	13 Il Signore riguarda dal cielo, Egli vede tutti i figliuoli degli uomini.

18 But the LORD'S eyes are upon the reverent, upon those who hope for his gracious help,	18 Ecco, l’occhio del Signore è inverso quelli che lo temono; Inverso quelli che sperano nella sua benignità;
19 Delivering them from death, keeping them alive in times of famine.	19 Per riscuoter l’anima loro dalla morte, E per conservarli in vita in tempo di fame.
20 Our soul waits for the LORD, who is our help and shield.	20 L’anima nostra attende il Signore; Egli è il nostro aiuto, e il nostro scudo.
21 For in God our hearts rejoice; in your holy name we trust.	21 Certo, il nostro cuore si rallegrerà in lui; Perciocchè noi ci siam confidati nel Nome della sua santità.
22 May your kindness, LORD, be upon us; we have put our hope in you.	22 La tua benignità, o Signore, sia sopra noi, Siccome noi abbiamo sperato in te
