Revelation 14

1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.	1 E vidi: ed ecco l’agnello ritto sul monte Sion e con esso cento guarantaguatiromila, che hanno il suo nome e il nome del Padre suo scritto sulle loro fronti.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:	2 E udii una voce dal cielo come voce di acque molte e come voce di tuono grande, e la voce che udii era come di arpisti arpeggianti sulle loro arpe.
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.	3 È cantano come un canto nuovo davanti al trono e davanti ai quattro viventi e agli anziani. ‘E nessuno poteva imparare il canto, all’infuori dei centoquarantaquattromila, i quali sono stati riscattati dalla terra.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.	4 Questi sono coloro che non si son macchiati con donne: sono infatti vergini. Questi sono coloro che seguono l’agnello ovunque vada. Questi furono riscattati dalla massa degli uomini, primizia per Dio e l’agnello.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.	5 E nella loro bocca non si trovò menzogna: sono integri.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,	6 E vidi un altro angelo che volava allo zenit, avente un evangelo eterno per evangelizzare su quanti siedono sulla terra e su ogni gente, tribù, lingua e popolo,
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.	7 dicendo a gran voce: «Temete Dio e dategli gloria, perché è venuta l’ora del suo giudizio, e adorate colui che ha fatto il cielo e la terra, il mare e le sorgenti d’acque».
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.	8 E un altro angelo, un secondo, seguì dicendo: «Cadde, cadde Babilonia la grande, essa che ha abbeverato tutte le genti del vino del furore della sua prostituzione».
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,	9 E un altro angelo, un terzo, li seguì dicendo a gran voce: «Se qualcuno adora la fiera e la sua immagine, e riceve il marchio sulla sua fronte o sulla sua mano,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:	10 costui berrà del vino del furore di Dio, mesciuto puro nel calice della sua ira, e sarà tormentato in fuoco e zolfo davanti ad angeli santi e davanti all’agnello.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.	11 E il fumo del loro tormento sale per secoli di secoli, e non hanno riposo giorno e notte coloro che adorano la fiera e la sua immagine, e chi riceve il marchio del suo nome».
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.	12 Qui è la perseveranza dei santi, i quali osservano i comandamenti di Dio e la fede di Gesù.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.	13 E udii una voce dal cielo che diceva: «Scrivi: Beati fin d’ora quei morti che muoiono nel Signore». «Sì — dice lo Spirito — cosicchè si riposeranno delle loro fatiche; le loro opere infatti li seguono».
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.	14 E vidi: ed ecco una nube bianca, e sopra la nube uno seduto simile a un figlio d’uomo, avente sopra la sua testa una corona d’oro e nella sua mano una falce affilata.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.	15 E un altro angelo uscì dal santuario, gridando a gran voce a colui che sedeva sopra la nube: «Manda la tua falce e mieti, perché è venuta l’ora di mietere, perché è disseccata la messe della terra».
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.	16 E colli che sedeva sulla nube gettò la sua falce sulla terra, e fu mietuta la terra.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.	17 E un altro angelo uscì dal santuario che è nel cielo, avendo anch’egli una falce affilata.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.	18 E un altro angelo, quello che ha potere sul fuoco, uscì dall’altare, e gridò a gran voce a colui che aveva la falce affilata, dicendo: «Manda la tua falce affilata e vendemmia i grappoli della vigna della terra, perché sono appieno maturate le sue uve».
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.	19 È gettò l’angelo la sua falce sulla terra, e vendemmiò la vigna della terra, e gettò l’uva nel tino grande del furore di Dio.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.	20 E il tino fu pigiato fuori della città, e uscì il sangue dal tino fino ai morsi dei cavalli, alla distanza di milleseicento stadi.
