1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.	1 Poi guardai ed ecco l'Agnello stava sul monte Sion circondato da centoquarantaquattromila che portavano scritto sulla loro fronte il nome di lui e il nome del Padre suo.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:	2 Udii una voce dal cielo, simile al fragore di acque copiose e al rimbombo di un tuono possente; mi pareva di udire come il suono di arpisti che arpeggiavano sulle loro arpe.
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.	3 Cantavano, davanti al trono e ai quattro Viventi e ai Seniori, come un cantico nuovo, che nessuno poteva comprendere se non i centoquarantaquattromila, quelli cioè che sono stati riscattati dalla terra.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.	4 Questi sono coloro che non si sono contaminati con donne; sono, infatti, vergini. Costoro sono quelli che seguono l'Agnello dovunque egli va. Essi sono stati riscattati dagli uomini quali primizia per Dio e per l'Agnello.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.	5 Nella loro bocca non s'è trovata menzogna: sono integri.
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,	6 Poi vidi un altro angelo che, volando nel mezzo del cielo, recava un vangelo eterno per annunciarlo agli abitanti della terra: ad ogni nazione, tribù, lingua e popolo.
7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.	7 Diceva a gran voce: "Temete Dio e dategli gloria, poiché giunta è l'ora del suo giudizio. Adorate Colui che ha fatto il cielo e la terra, il mare e le sorgenti d'acqua".
8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.	8 Quindi un altro angelo seguì dicendo: "E' caduta, è caduta Babilonia, la grande, quella che con il vino dell'ardore della sua prostituzione ha abbeverato tutte le genti".
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,	9 Ancora un altro angelo, un terzo, seguì a loro, dicendo a gran voce: "Se qualcuno adora la bestia e la sua immagine e accetta il marchio sulla sua fronte o sulla mano,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:	10 berrà egli il vino del furore di Dio, che puro sta versato nel calice della sua ira e fuoco e zolfo saranno il suo tormento davanti ai santi angeli e davanti all'Agnello. Il fumo del loro tormento salirà per i secoli dei secoli.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.	11 Giorno e notte non avranno riposo quanti adorano la bestia e la sua immagine e chiunque riceve il marchio del suo nome".
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.	12 Sta qui la pazienza dei santi, che conservano i divini precetti e la fede di Gesù.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.	13 Quindi udii una voce dal cielo che diceva: "Scrivi: Beati i morti che muoiono nel Signore, sin da ora. Sì, dice lo Spirito, poiché si riposeranno dalle loro fatiche; li accompagnano, infatti, le opere loro".
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.	14 Poi guardai ed ecco una nuvola bianca, e sopra la nuvola uno stava seduto, simile a figlio d'uomo, con in capo una corona d'oro e una spada affilata nella mano.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.	15 Dal tempio uscì un altro angelo che gridò a gran voce a colui che stava sulla nuvola: "Getta la tua falce e mieti, ché giunto è il tempo di mietere; disseccata è la messe della terra".
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.	16 Allora colui che stava sulla nuvola gettò la falce sulla terra e fu mietuta la terra.
17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.	17 Un altro angelo uscì dal tempio celeste; anch'egli aveva nella mano una falce affilata.
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.	18 E un altro angelo, quello che ha potere sul fuoco, uscì dalla parte dell'altare e gridò a gran voce a colui che aveva la falce affilata: "Getta la tua falce affilata e taglia i grappoli della vigna della terra, giacché mature sono ormai le sue uve".
19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.	19 Allora l'angelo gettò la sua falce sulla terra e vendemmiò la vigna della terra, gettandone l'uva nel grande tino del furore di Dio.
20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.	20 Il tino fu pigiato fuori della città e ne uscì sangue che salì fino al morso dei cavalli, per una distanza di milleseicento stadi.
