1 Corinthians 3

1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.	1 Ed io, o fratelli, non ho potuto parlare a voi come a degli uomini spirituali, ma come a esseri di carne, come a infanti in Cristo.
2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.	2 Vi ho dato da bere latte, non cibo, perché non ne eravate capaci. E neanche adesso lo siete; perché siete ancora carnali.
3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?	3 Quando, infatti, c'è tra voi invidia e discordia, non siete forse carnali e non vi comportate in maniera tutta umana?
4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?	4 Quando uno dice: "Io sono di Paolo", e l'altro: "Io di Apollo", non vi dimostrate semplici uomini?
5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?	5 Ma chi è Apollo, chi è Paolo? Ministri attraverso i quali siete venuti alla fede, ciascuno secondo che il Signore gli ha dato.
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.	6 Io ho piantato, Apollo ha irrigato, ma è Dio che ha fatto crescere!
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.	7 Ora, né chi pianta né chi irriga è qualche cosa, ma chi fa crescere: Dio.
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.	8 Chi pianta e chi irriga sono una sola cosa, ma ciascuno riceverà la sua mercede secondo il proprio lavoro.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.	9 Siamo infatti collaboratori di Dio e voi siete il campo di Dio, l'edificio di Dio.
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.	10 Secondo la grazia di Dio che mi è stata data, come un sapiente architetto io ho gettato il fondamento; un altro poi vi costruisce sopra. Ma ciascuno stia attento a come costruisce:
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.	11 infatti nessuno può gettare un fondamento diverso da quello già posto, che è Gesù Cristo.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;	12 E se, sopra questo fondamento, si costruisce con oro, argento, pietre preziose, legno, fieno, paglia,
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.	13 l'opera di ciascuno sarà resa palese; la svelerà quel giorno che si manifesterà col fuoco, e il fuoco saggerà quale sia l'opera di ciascuno.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.	14 Se l'opera costruita resisterà, si riceverà la mercede;
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.	15 ma se l'opera finirà bruciata, si avrà danno: ci si potrà salvare, ma come attraverso il fuoco.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?	16 Non sapete che siete tempio di Dio e che lo Spirito di Dio abita in voi?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.	17 Se uno distrugge il tempio di Dio, Dio distruggerà lui. Perché è santo il tempio di Dio, che siete voi.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.	18 Nessuno si illuda! Se uno pensa di essere sapiente tra di voi in questo mondo, si faccia stolto per diventare sapiente;
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.	19 perché la sapienza di questo mondo è follia davanti a Dio. Sta scritto infatti: Colui che coglie i sapienti nella loro astuzia.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.	20 E ancora: Il Signore sa che i disegni dei sapienti sono vani.
21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;	21 Quindi nessuno ponga la sua gloria negli uomini;
22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;	22 perché tutto è vostro, e Paolo, e Apollo, e Cefa, e il mondo, e la vita, e la morte, e il presente, e il futuro: tutto è vostro!
23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.	23 Ma voi siete di Cristo e Cristo è di Dio.
