1 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!	1 Disse ancora ai suoi discepoli: E' impossibile che non succedano scandali; ma guai a colui per colpa del quale avvengono.
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.	2 Sarebbe meglio per lui che gli fosse stata attaccata una macina al collo, e fosse gettato nel mare, piuttosto di essere di scandalo ad uno di questi piccoli.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.	3 Badate a voi. Se il tuo fratello pecca contro di te, riprendilo, e, se si pente, perdonagli.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.	4 E se avrà peccato contro di te sette volte al giorno e sette volte al giorno ritorna a te, dicendo: Me ne pento, perdonagli.
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.	5 E gli Apostoli dissero al Signore: Accrescici la fede.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.	6 Ma il Signore rispose: Se avrete fede quanto un granello di senapa, direte a questo gelso: Sbarbati e trapiantati nel mare, e vi ubbidirà
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?	7 Or chi di voi, avendo un servo ad arare o a pascere, gli dice, appena egli torna dalla campagna: Va' subito a tavola;
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?	8 e non gli dice piuttosto: Fammi da cena e cingiti e servimi mentre io mangio e bevo, e poi clangerai e berrai tu?
9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.	9 Resterà forse obbligato a quel servo, perchè gli ha fatto le cose ordinate?
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.	10 Non credo. Così anche voi, quando avrete fatto tutto ciò che vi è comandato, dite; Siamo servi inutili; non abbiamo fatto che if nostro dovere.
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.	11 Or avvenne che nell'andare a Gerusalemme, passava per mezzo alla Samaria e alla Galilea.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:	12 E stando per entrare in un certo villaggio, gli andarono, incontro dieci lebbrosi che, fermatisi da lontano,
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.	13 gridarono: Gesù Maestro, abbi pietà di noi.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.	14 Ed egli, vedutili, disse loro: Andate, mostratevi ai sacerdoti. E mentre andavano, furon mondati.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,	15 E uno di loro, vedendosi guarito, tornò indietro, glorificando ad alta voce Dio,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.	16 e gli si prostrò dinanzi a ringraziarlo; e questo era un Samaritano.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?	17 E Gesù prese a dire: Non sono stati guariti tutti e dieci? E gli altri nove dove sono?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.	18 Non s'è trovato chi tornasse a rendere gloria a Dio, se non questo straniero?
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.	19 E gli disse: Levati e vattene; la tua fede ti ha salvato.
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:	20 Interrogato poi dai Farisei, quando fosse per venire il regno di Dio, rispose loro: il regno di Dio non viene con apparato.
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.	21 Nè si potrà due: Eccolo qui, eccolo là. Perchè il regno di Dio, ecco, è dentro di voi.
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.	22 Disse inoltre ai suoi discepoli: Verrà tempo che bramerete vedere uno dei giorni del Figlio dell'uomo, e non lo vedrete.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.	23 E vi diranno; Eccolo qui, eccolo là. Non ci andate, nè vi mettete a seguirli.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.	24 Come infatti il lampo, sfolgoreggiando, balena da un'estremità all'altra del cielo, così pure sarà dei Figlio dell'uomo nel suo giorno.
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.	25 Ma prima bisogna ch'ei soffra molto e sia reietto da questa generazione.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.	26 E come avvenne ai tempi di Noè, avverrà pure ai giorni del Figlio dell'uomo.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.	27 Mangiavano e bevevano, si ammogliavano e si maritavano sino ai giorno che Noè entrò nell'arca; e venne il diluvio e li sterminò tutti.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;	28 Così pure avvenne ai tempi di Lot: mangiavano e bevevano, compravano e vendevano: piantavano e fabbricavano.
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.	29 Ma nel giorno che Lot uscì da Sodoma, piovve dal cielo fuoco e zolfo e li sterminò tutti.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.	30 Lo stesso avverrà quando il Figlio dell'uomo si farà manifesto.
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.	31 Allora chi sarà sul terrazzo ed avrà in casa la sua roba, non scenda a prenderla, e parimenti chi sarà nel campo non torni indietro.
32 Remember Lot's wife.	32 Ricordatevi della moglie di Lot.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.	33 Chi cercherà di salvare la propria vita, la perderà, e chi la perderà, la conserverà.
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.	34 In quella notte, vi dico, due saranno, in un letto: uno sarà preso, l'altro lasciato.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.	35 Due donne saranno a macinare insieme: una sarà presa, l'altra lasciata; due saranno in un campo: uno sarà preso, l'altro lasciato.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.	36 Gli chiesero i discepoli: Dove, Signore? Rispose loro: Dove sarà il corpo, quivi si aduneranno anche le aquile.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
