1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.	1 Allora Gesù fu condotto dallo Spirito nel deserto per essere tentato dal Diavolo.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.	2 E avendo digiunato quaranta giorni, e quaranta notti, finalmente gli venne fame.
3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.	3 E accostatoseli il tentatore disse: Se tu se' figliuolo di Dio, di' che queste pietre diventino pani.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.	4 Ma egli rispondendo disse: Sta scrìtto: Non di solo pane vive l'uomo, ma di qualunque cosa, che Dio comandi.
5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,	5 Allora il Diavolo lo menò nella città santa, e poselo sulla sommità dui tempio.
6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.	6 E gli disse: Se tu se' figliuolo di Dio, gettati giù: imperocché sta scritto, che ha commesso a' suoi Angeli la cura di te, ed essi ti porteranno sulle mani, affinchè non inciampi talvolta col tuo piede nella pietra.
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.	7 Gesù gli disse: Sta anche scritto: Non tenterai il Signore Dio tuo.
8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;	8 Di nuovo il Diavolo lo menò sopra un monte molto elevato; e fecegli vedere tutti i regni del mondo, e la loro magnificenza.
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.	9 E gli disse: Tutto questo io ti darò, se prostrato mi adorerai.
10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.	10 Allora Gesù gli disse: Vattene Satana; imperocché sta scritto: adora il Signore Dio tuo, e servi lui solo.
11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.	11 Allora il Diavolo lo lasciò: ed ecco che se gli accostarono gli Angeli, e lo servivano.
12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;	12 Gesù poi avendo sentito, come Giovanni era stato messo in prigione, si ritirò nella Galilea:
13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:	13 E lasciata la città di Nazaret, andò ad abitare in Cafarnaum, città marittima, ai confini di Zabulon, e di Neftali:
14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,	14 Affinchè si adempisse quello, che era stato detto da Isaia profeta.
15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;	15 La terra di Zabulon, e la terra di Neftalim strada al mare di là dal Giordano, la Galilea delle nazioni.
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.	16 Il popolo, che camminava nelle tenebre, ha veduto una gran luce: e la luce si è levata per coloro, che giacevano nella regione, e nella oscurità della morte.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.	17 Da li in poi cominciò Gesù a predicare, e a dire: Fate penitenza; imperocché il regno dei cieli è vicino.
18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.	18 E camminando Gesù lungo il mare di Galilea, vide due fratelli Simone, chiamato Pietro, e Andrea suo fratello, che gettavano in mare la rete (imperocché erano pescatori):
19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.	19 E disse loro: Venite dietro a me, e vi farò pescatori d'uomini.
20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.	20 Ed essi, subito abbandonate le reti, lo seguirono.
21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.	21 E di li andando innanzi vide due altri fratelli, Giacomo di Zebedeo, e Giovanni suo fratello in una barca insieme con Zebedeo loro padre, che rassettavano le loro reti: e li chiamò.
22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.	22 Ed essi, subito abbandonate le reti, e il padre, lo seguirono.
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.	23 E Gesù andava attorno per tutta la Galilea, insegnando nelle loro sinagoghe, e predicando il Vangelo del regno, e sanando tutti i languori, e le malattie del popolo.
24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.	24 E si sparse la fama di lui per tutta la Siria: e gli presentarono tutti quelli, che erano indisposti, e afflitti da diversi mali, e dolori, e gli indemoniati, e i lunatici, e i paralitici, ed ei li risanò.
25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.	25 E lo segui una gran turba dalla Galilea, dalla Decapoli, da Gerusalemme, dalla Giudea, e dal paese di là dal Giordano.
