Psalms 129

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:	1 Cantique des montées. Tant ils m'ont traqué dès ma jeunesse, -- à Israël de le dire --
2 Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.	2 tant ils m'ont traqué dès ma jeunesse, ils n'ont pas eu le dessus.
3 The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.	3 Sur mon dos ont labouré les laboureurs, allongeant leurs sillons;
4 The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.	4 Yahvé le juste a brisé les liens des impies.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.	5 Qu'ils soient tous confondus, repoussés, les ennemis de Sion;
6 Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:	6 qu'ils soient comme l'herbe des toits qui sèche avant qu'on l'arrache!
7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.	7 Le moissonneur n'en remplit pas sa main, ni le lieur, son giron;
8 Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.	8 et point ne diront les passants: Bénédiction de Yahvé sur vous! Nous vous bénissons au nom deYahvé.
