KING JAMES BIBLE | NOVA VULGATA |
---|---|
Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. | 1 Magistro chori. Super octavam. Psalmus. David. |
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. | 2 Salvum me fac, Domine, quoniam defecit sanctus, quoniam deminuti sunt fideles a filiis hominum. |
The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: | 3 Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum; in labiis dolosis, in duplici corde locuti sunt. |
Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? | 4 Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa et linguam magniloquam. |
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. | 5 Qui dixerunt: “ Lingua nostra magnificabimur, labia nostra a nobis sunt; quis noster dominus est? ”. |
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. | 6 “ Propter miseriam inopum et gemitum pauperum, nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus; ponam in salutari illum, quem despiciunt ”. |
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. | 7 Eloquia Domini eloquia casta, argentum igne examinatum, separatum a terra, purgatum septuplum. |
The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. | 8 Tu, Domine, servabis nos et custodies nos a generatione hac in aeternum. In circuitu impii ambulant, cum exaltantur sordes inter filios hominum. |
