1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.	1 Au maître de chant. A l’octave. Psaume de David.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.	2 Interviens, Seigneur, c’en est fait des croyants, les gens sincères ont disparu de chez les hommes.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:	3 On dit des faussetés à son prochain, on dit des mots flatteurs, mais le cœur est double.
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?	4 Que le Seigneur supprime la langue menteuse, la langue qui fait de beaux discours,
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.	5 ces gens qui disent: “Nous aurons le dernier mot, nous savons parler, qui va nous mettre au pas?”
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.	6 “Les malheureux sont opprimés, dit le Seigneur, les pauvres gémissent, aussi moi je me lève, je vais secourir celui qu’on élimine.”
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.	7 Les paroles du Seigneur sont des parole sûres, de l’argent fin, passé au creuset sept fois.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.	8 C’est toi, Seigneur, qui prends soin de nous, protège-nous toujours de ces gens.
	9 Partout les méchants s’agitent et la débauche va croissant chez les fils d’Adam.
