1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.	1 Salmo di Davide, dato al capo de’ Musici, sopra Seminit SALVA, Signore; perciocchè gli uomini pii son venuti meno, Ed i veraci son mancati fra i figliuoli degli uomini.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.	2 Ciascuno parla con menzogna col suo prossimo, Con labbra lusinghiere; Parlano con un cuor doppio.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:	3 Il Signore ricida tutte le labbra lusinghiere, La lingua che parla altieramente;
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?	4 Di coloro che dicono: Noi sarem padroni colle nostre lingue; Le nostre labbra sono appo noi; Chi è signore sopra noi?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.	5 Per la desolazione de’ poveri afflitti, per le strida de’ bisognosi, Ora mi leverò, dice il Signore; Io metterò in salvo quelli contro a cui coloro parlano audacemente.
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.	6 Le parole del Signore son parole pure, Argento affinato nel fornello di terra, Purgato per sette volte.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.	7 Tu, Signore, guarda coloro; Preservali da questa generazione in perpetuo.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.	8 Gli empi vanno attorno, Quando i più vili d’infra i figliuoli degli uomini sono innalzati
