Psalms 82

1 A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.	1 Psaume de Asaph. Dieu S'est tenu dans l'assemblée des dieux, * et au milieu d'eux Il juge les dieux.
2 How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked?	2 Jusques à quand jugerez-vous injustement, * et aurez-vous égard à la personne des pécheurs?
3 Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor.	3 Faites droit à l'indigent et à l'orphelin; * rendez justice au petit et au pauvre.
4 Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.	4 Arrachez le pauvre, * et délivrez l'indigent des mains du pécheur.
5 They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.	5 Ils n'ont ni savoir ni intelligence; ils marchent dans les ténèbres; * tous les fondements de la terre seront ébranlés.
6 I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.	6 J'ai dit: Vous êtes des dieux; * vous êtes tous fils du Très-Haut.
7 But you like men shall die: and shall fall like one of the princes.	7 Cependant vous mourrez comme des hommes, * et vous tomberez comme un prince quelconque.
8 Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.	8 Levez-Vous, ô Dieu, jugez la terre; * car Vous devez avoir toutes les nations pour héritage.
