1 Unto the end, in, hymns, a psalm of a canticle for David.1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song. May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, [Selah]
2 May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may he cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.2 that thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving power among all nations.
3 That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations.3 Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee!
4 Let people confess to thee, O God: let all people give praise to thee.4 Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for thou dost judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth. [Selah]
5 Let the nations be glad and rejoice: for thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.5 Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee!
6 Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:6 The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, has blessed us.
7 the earth hath yielded her fruit. May God, our God bless us,7 God has blessed us; let all the ends of the earth fear him!
8 may God bless us: and all the ends of the earth fear him.
