1 Unto the end, a psalm for David. To thee, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul.	1 De David. Vers toi, Seigneur j’élève mon âme, vers toi qui es mon Dieu.
2 In thee, O my God, I put my trust; let me not be ashamed.	2 En toi je me confie, que je ne sois pas déçu, que mes ennemis n’aient pas le dessus.
3 Neither let my enemies laugh at me: for none of them that wait on thee shall be confounded.	3 Ceux qui comptent sur toi ne seront pas déçus; seront déçus ceux qui te mentent sans raison.
4 Let all them be confounded that act unjust things without cause. Shew, O Lord, thy ways to me, and teach me thy paths.	4 Seigneur, fais que je connaisse tes voies, enseigne-moi tes sentiers.
5 Direct me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God my Saviour; and on thee have I waited all the day long.	5 Fais que je marche dans ta vérité: instruis-moi, puisque tu es pour moi le Dieu qui sauve, et tout le jour j’espère en toi, 7c pensant à ta bonté, Seigneur.
6 Remember, O Lord, thy bowels of compassion; and thy mercies that are from the beginning of the world.	6 Réveille ta tendresse, Seigneur, et tes bontés qui sont de toujours.
7 The sins of my youth and my ignorances do not remember. According to thy mercy remember thou me: for thy goodness' sake, O Lord.	7 Oublie mes péchés, les erreurs de ma jeunesse, et souviens-toi de moi dans ta bonté.
8 The Lord is sweet and righteous: therefore he will give a law to sinners in the way.	8 Le Seigneur est bon, il est droit, aussi il corrige le pécheur en son chemin.
9 He will guide the mild in judgment: he will teach the meek his ways.	9 Il fait que ses pauvres vivent dans la droiture, il enseigne aux pauvres son chemin.
10 All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth, to them that seek after his covenant and his testimonies.	10 L’agir du Seigneur n’est que grâce et fidélité pour ceux qui gardent son alliance et ses lois.
11 For thy name's sake, O Lord, thou wilt pardon my sin: for it is great.	11 Fais honneur à ton nom, Seigneur, pardonne-moi ma dette car elle est grande.
12 Who is the man that feareth the Lord? He hath appointed him a law in the way he hath chosen.	12 Voyez-vous quelqu’un qui craigne le Seigneur? il lui fait voir aussitôt le chemin à prendre.
13 His soul shall dwell in good things: and his seed shall inherit the land.	13 Son âme est à demeure dans l’abondance, ses enfants posséderont la terre.
14 The Lord is a firmament to them that fear him: and his covenant shall be made manifest to them.	14 Le secret du Seigneur est pour ceux qui le craignent, il leur fera connaître son alliance.
15 My eyes are ever towards the Lord: for he shall pluck my feet out of the snare.	15 Mes yeux ne se détournent pas du Seigneur, il me gardera du filet à mes pieds.
16 Look thou upon me, and have mercy on me; for I am alone and poor.	16 Regarde-moi, aie compassion de moi, vois que je suis seul et sans moyens.
17 The troubles of my heart are multiplied: deliver me from my necessities.	17 Retire-moi cette angoisse qui m’oppresse et fais-moi sortir de ces épreuves.
18 See my abjection and my labour; and forgive me all my sins.	18 Vois ma misère et ma peine, enlève tous mes péchés de dessus moi.
19 Consider my enemies for they are multiplied, and have hated me with an unjust hatred.	19 Regarde le nombre de mes adversaires: quelle haine, quelle violence à mon égard!
20 Keep thou my soul, and deliver me: I shall not be ashamed, for I have hoped in thee.	20 Garde-moi en vie et délivre-moi, que je ne sois pas déçu d’avoir compté sur toi.
21 The innocent and the upright have adhered to me: because I have waited on thee.	21 Que l’innocence et la droiture soient mes gardes; oui, je mets en toi mon espérance.
22 Deliver Israel, O God, from all his tribulations.	22 Ô Dieu, sauve Israël de toutes ses épreuves!
