1 A canticle of a psalm for David himself.	1 Cantico di Salmo di Davide IL mio cuore è disposto, o Dio, Ed anche la mia gloria; io canterò, e salmeggerò.
2 My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and will give praise, with my glory.	2 Saltero, e cetera, destati; Io mi risveglierò all’alba.
3 Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.	3 Io ti celebrerò fra i popoli, o Signore, E ti salmeggerò fra le nazioni.
4 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: and I will sing unto thee among the populations.	4 Perciocchè la tua benignità è grande, disopra il cielo; E la tua verità aggiunge infino alle nuvole.
5 For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth even unto the clouds.	5 Innalzati, o Dio, sopra i cieli; Ed innalzisi la tua gloria sopra tutta le terra;
6 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory over all the earth:	6 Acciocchè i tuoi diletti sieno liberati; Salvami colla tua destra, e rispondimi.
7 that thy beloved may be delivered. Save with thy right hand and hear me.	7 Iddio ha parlato per la sua santità; io trionferò, Io spartirò Sichem, e misurerò la valle di Succot.
8 God hath spoken in his holiness. I will rejoice, and I will divide Sichem and I will mete out the vale of tabernacles.	8 Mio è Galaad, mio è Manasse; Ed Efraim è la forza del mio capo; Giuda è il mio legislatore;
9 Galaad is mine, and Manasses is mine and Ephraim the protection of my head. Juda is my king:	9 Moab è la caldaia del mio lavatoio; Io getterò le mie scarpe sopra Edom; Io trionferò della Palestina con voci di allegrezza.
10 Moab the pot of my hope. Over Edom I will stretch out my shoe: the aliens are become my friends.	10 Chi mi condurrà nella città della fortezza? Chi mi menerà fino in Edom?
11 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?	11 Non sarai desso tu, o Dio, che ci avevi scacciati, E non uscivi più fuori, o Dio, co’ nostri eserciti?
12 Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?	12 Dacci aiuto, per uscir di distretta; Perciocchè il soccorso degli uomini è vanità.
13 O grant us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.	13 Coll’aiuto di Dio noi faremo prodezze; Ed egli calpesterà i nostri nemici
14 Through God we shall do mightily: and he will bring our enemies to nothing.
