Nehemiah 11

1 And the princes of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: but the rest of the people cast lots, to take one part in ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.	1 Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem; and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to live in Jerusalem the holy city, while nine tenths remained in the other towns.
2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.	2 And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered to live in Jerusalem.
3 These therefore are the chief men of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda. And every one dwelt in his possession, in their cities: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon.	3 These are the chiefs of the province who lived in Jerusalem; but in the towns of Judah every one lived on his property in their towns: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the temple servants, and the descendants of Solomon's servants.
4 And in Jerusalem there dwelt some of the children of Juda, and some of the children of Benjamin: of the children of Juda, Athaias the son of Aziam, the son of Zacharias, the son of Amarias, the son of Saphatias, the son of Malaleel: of the sons of Phares,	4 And in Jerusalem lived certain of the sons of Judah and of the sons of Benjamin. Of the sons of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, son of Zechariah, son of Amariah, son of Shephatiah, son of Mahalalel, of the sons of Perez;
5 Maasia the son of Baruch, the son of Cholhoza, the son of Hazia, the son of Adaia, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zacharias, the son of the Silonite:	5 and Ma-aseiah the son of Baruch, son of Col-hozeh, son of Hazaiah, son of Adaiah, son of Joiarib, son of Zechariah, son of the Shilonite.
6 All these the sons of Phares, who dwelt in Jerusalem, were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.	6 All the sons of Perez who lived in Jerusalem were four hundred and sixty-eight valiant men.
7 And these are the children of Benjamin: Sellum the son of Mosollam, the son of Joed, the son of Phadaia, the son of Colaia, the son of Masia, the son of Etheel, the son of Isaia.	7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, son of Joed, son of Pedaiah, son of Kolaiah, son of Ma-aseiah, son of Ithi-el, son of Jeshaiah.

12 And their brethren that do the works of the temple: eight hundred twentytwo. And Adaia the son of Jeroham, the son of Phelelia, the son of Amsi, the son of Zacharias, the son of Pheshur, the son of Melchias,	12 and their brethren who did the work of the house, eight hundred and twenty-two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, son of Pelaliah, son of Amzi, son of Zechariah, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah,
13 And his brethren the chiefs of the fathers: two hundred forty-two. And Amassai the son of Azreel, the son of Ahazi, the son of Mosollamoth, the son of Emmer,	13 and his brethren, heads of fathers' houses, two hundred and forty-two; and Amashsai, the son of Azarel, son of Ahzai, son of Meshillemoth, son of Immer,
14 And their brethren who were very mighty, a hundred twenty-eight: and their ruler Zabdiel son of the mighty.	14 and their brethren, mighty men of valor, a hundred and twenty-eight; their overseer was Zabdiel the son of Haggedolim.
15 And of the Levites Semeia the son of Hasub, the son of Azaricam, the son of Hasabia, the son of Boni,	15 And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah, son of Bunni;
16 And Sabathai and Jozabed, who were over all the outward business of the house of Cod, of the princes of the Levites,	16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who were over the outside work of the house of God;
17 And Mathania the son of Micha, the son of Zebedei, the son of Asaph, was the principal man to praise, and to give glory in prayer, and Becbecia the second, one of his brethren, and Abda the son of Samua, the son of Galal, the son of Idithun.	17 and Mattaniah the son of Mica, son of Zabdi, son of Asaph, who was the leader to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun.
18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.	18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred and eighty-four.
19 And the porters, Accub, Telmon, and their brethren, who kept the doors: a hundred seventy-two.	19 The gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon and their brethren, who kept watch at the gates, were a hundred and seventy-two.
20 And the rest of Israel, the priests and the Levites were in all the cities of Juda, every man in his possession.	20 And the rest of Israel, and of the priests and the Levites, were in all the towns of Judah, every one in his inheritance.
21 And the Nathinites, that dwelt in Ophel, and Siaha, and Gaspha of the Nathinites.	21 But the temple servants lived on Ophel; and Ziha and Gishpa were over the temple servants.
22 And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Azzi the son of Bani, the son of Hasabia, the son of Mathania, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, were the singing men in the ministry of the house of Cod.	22 The overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, son of Hashabiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the work of the house of God.
23 For the king's commandment was concerning them, and an order among the singing men day by day.	23 For there was a command from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.
24 And Phathahia the son of Mesezebel of the children of Zara the son of Juda was at the hand of the king, in all matters concerning the people,	24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the sons of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.
25 And in the houses through all their countries. Of the children of Juda so dwelt at Cariath-Arbe, and in the villages thereof: and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof: and at Cabseel, and in the villages thereof.	25 And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the people of Judah lived in Kiriath-arba and its villages, and in Dibon and its villages, and in Jekabzeel and its villages,
26 And at Jesue, and at Molada, and Bethphaleth,	26 and in Jeshua and in Moladah and Beth-pelet,
27 And at Hasersual, and at Bersabee, and in the villages thereof,	27 in Hazar-shual, in Beer-sheba and its villages,
28 And at Siceleg, and at Mochona, and in the villages thereof,	28 in Ziklag, in Meconah and its villages,
29 And at Remmon, and at Saraa, and at Jerimuth,	29 in En-rimmon, in Zorah, in Jarmuth,
30 Zanoa, Odollam, and in their villages, at Lachis and its dependencies, and at Azeca and the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Bersabee unto the valley of Ennom.	30 Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and its fields, and Azekah and its villages. So they encamped from Beer-sheba to the valley of Hinnom.
31 And the children of Benjamin, from Geba, at Mechmas, and at Hai, and at Bethel, and in the villages thereof,	31 The people of Benjamin also lived from Geba onward, at Michmash, Aija, Bethel and its villages,
32 At Anathoth, Nob, Anania,	32 Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,
33 Asor, Rama, Gethaim,	33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,
34 Hadid, Seboim, and Neballat, Led,	34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,
35 And Ono the valley of craftsmen.	35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.
36 And of the Levites were portions of Juda and Benjamin.	36 And certain divisions of the Levites in Judah were joined to Benjamin.
