1 And the princes of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: but the rest of the people cast lots, to take one part in ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.	1 Or les chefs (princes) du peuple s'établirent à Jérusalem ; mais le reste du peuple tira au sort, pour qu'un(e partie) sur dix vînt habiter à Jérusalem, la ville sainte, et que les neuf autres parties demeurassent dans les villes.
2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.	2 Et le peuple bénit tous ceux qui s'offrirent volontairement pour résider à Jérusalem.
3 These therefore are the chief men of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda. And every one dwelt in his possession, in their cities: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon.	3 Voici (donc) les chefs (princes) de la province qui s'établirent à Jérusalem et dans les villes de Juda. Chacun habita sur sa propriété et dans ses villes, Israël, les prêtres, les Lévites, les Nathinéens et les fils des serviteurs de Salomon.
4 And in Jerusalem there dwelt some of the children of Juda, and some of the children of Benjamin: of the children of Juda, Athaias the son of Aziam, the son of Zacharias, the son of Amarias, the son of Saphatias, the son of Malaleel: of the sons of Phares,	4 Il y eut des fils de Juda et des fils de Benjamin qui s'établirent à Jérusalem. Des fils de Juda : Athaïas, fils d'Aziam, fils de Zacharie, fils d'Amarias, fils de Saphatias, fils de Malaléel. Des fils de Pharès :
5 Maasia the son of Baruch, the son of Cholhoza, the son of Hazia, the son of Adaia, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zacharias, the son of the Silonite:	5 Maasia, fils de Baruch, fils de Cholhoza, fils d'Hazia, fils d'Adaïa, fils de Joïarib, fils de Zacharie, fils de (du) Silonite.
6 All these the sons of Phares, who dwelt in Jerusalem, were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.	6 Tous les (ces) fils de Pharès qui s'établirent à Jérusalem étaient au nombre de quatre cent soixante-huit, tous hommes vaillants.
7 And these are the children of Benjamin: Sellum the son of Mosollam, the son of Joed, the son of Phadaia, the son of Colaia, the son of Masia, the son of Etheel, the son of Isaia.	7 (Or) Voici les fils de Benjamin : Sellum, fils de Mosollam, fils de Joëd, fils de Phadaïa, fils de Colaïa, fils de Masia, fils d'Ethéel, (le) fils d'Isaïe,
8 And after him Gebbai, Sellai, nine hundred twenty-eight.	8 et après lui Gebbaï, Sellaï ; neuf cent vingt-huit.
9 And Joel the son of Zechri their ruler, and Judas the son of Senua was second over the city.	9 Joël, fils de Zéchri, était leur chef, et Juda, fils de Sénua, était le second (chef) de (sur) la ville.
10 And of the priests Idaia the son of Joarib, Jachin,	10 Parmi les prêtres : Idaïa, fils de Joiarib, Jachin,
11 Saraia the son of Helcias, the son of Mosollam, the son of Sadoc, the son of Meraioth, the son of Achitob the prince of the house of God,	11 Saraïa, fils d'Helcias, fils de Mosollam, fils de Sadoc, fils de Méraïoth, fils d'Achitob, prince de la maison de Dieu,
12 And their brethren that do the works of the temple: eight hundred twentytwo. And Adaia the son of Jeroham, the son of Phelelia, the son of Amsi, the son of Zacharias, the son of Pheshur, the son of Melchias,	12 et leurs frères occupés aux fonctions du temple, huit cent vingt-deux. Et Adaïa, fils de Jéroham, fils de Phélélia, fils d'Amsi, fils de Zacharie, fils de Phéshur, fils de Melchias,
13 And his brethren the chiefs of the fathers: two hundred forty-two. And Amassai the son of Azreel, the son of Ahazi, the son of Mosollamoth, the son of Emmer,	13 et ses frères, chefs des familles (les princes des pères), deux cent quarante-deux. Et Amassaï, fils d'Azréel, fils d'Ahazi, fils de Mosollamoth, fils d'Emmer,
14 And their brethren who were very mighty, a hundred twenty-eight: and their ruler Zabdiel son of the mighty.	14 et leurs frères, hommes très vaillants (puissants), cent vingt-huit. Leur chef était Zabdiel, l'un des puissants d'Israël (fils des puissants).
15 And of the Levites Semeia the son of Hasub, the son of Azaricam, the son of Hasabia, the son of Boni,	15 Parmi les Lévites : Séméia, fils d'Hasub, fils d'Azaricam, fils d'Hasabia, fils de Boni,
16 And Sabathai and Jozabed, who were over all the outward business of the house of Cod, of the princes of the Levites,	16 et Sabathaï, et Jozabed, chargés des affaires extérieures de la maison de Dieu, et les chefs des Lévites ;
17 And Mathania the son of Micha, the son of Zebedei, the son of Asaph, was the principal man to praise, and to give glory in prayer, and Becbecia the second, one of his brethren, and Abda the son of Samua, the son of Galal, the son of Idithun.	17 et Mathania, fils de Micha, fils de Zébédéi, fils d'Asaph, chef (prince) de ceux qui chantaient les louanges divines à la prière ; et Becbécia, le second d'entre ses frères, et Abda, fils de Samua, fils de Galal, fils d'Idithun.
18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.	18 Tous les Lévites dans la ville sainte étaient au nombre de deux cent quatre-vingt-quatre.
19 And the porters, Accub, Telmon, and their brethren, who kept the doors: a hundred seventy-two.	19 (Et) Les portiers : Accub, Telmon et leurs frères qui gardaient les portes : cent soixante-douze.
20 And the rest of Israel, the priests and the Levites were in all the cities of Juda, every man in his possession.	20 Le reste d'Israël, et les prêtres et les Lévites s'établirent dans toutes les villes de Juda, chacun dans sa propriété.
21 And the Nathinites, that dwelt in Ophel, and Siaha, and Gaspha of the Nathinites.	21 Les Nathinéens demeurèrent aussi dans Ophel ; et Siaha et Gaspha étaient chefs des (d'entre les) Nathinéens.
22 And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Azzi the son of Bani, the son of Hasabia, the son of Mathania, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, were the singing men in the ministry of the house of Cod.	22 Le chef des Lévites à Jérusalem était Azzi, fils de Bani, fils d'Hasabia, fils de Mathanias, fils de Micha. Des fils d'Asaph, il y avait des chantres pour le service de la maison de Dieu.
23 For the king's commandment was concerning them, and an order among the singing men day by day.	23 Car le roi avait prescrit ce qui les concernait, et l'ordre qui devait être observé chaque jour parmi les chantres.
24 And Phathahia the son of Mesezebel of the children of Zara the son of Juda was at the hand of the king, in all matters concerning the people,	24 Et (Mais) Phathahia, fils de Mésézébel, des fils de Zara, fils de Juda, était commissaire (sous la main) du roi pour toutes les affaires du peuple,
25 And in the houses through all their countries. Of the children of Juda so dwelt at Cariath-Arbe, and in the villages thereof: and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof: and at Cabseel, and in the villages thereof.	25 et pour ce qui est de leurs autres demeures dans tout le pays. Les fils de Juda s'établirent à Cariatharbé et dans ses dépendances (filles), à Dibon et dans ses dépendances (filles), à Cabséel et dans ses villages,
26 And at Jesue, and at Molada, and Bethphaleth,	26 à Jésué, à Molada et à Bethphaleth,
27 And at Hasersual, and at Bersabee, and in the villages thereof,	27 à Hasersual, à Bersabée et dans ses dépendances (filles),
28 And at Siceleg, and at Mochona, and in the villages thereof,	28 à Sicéleg, à Mochona et dans ses dépendances (filles),
29 And at Remmon, and at Saraa, and at Jerimuth,	29 à Remmon, à Saraa, à Jérimuth,
30 Zanoa, Odollam, and in their villages, at Lachis and its dependencies, and at Azeca and the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Bersabee unto the valley of Ennom.	30 à Zanoa, à Odollam et dans leurs villages, à Lachis et dans ses dépendances (contrées), à Azéca et dans ses dépendances (filles). Et ils habitèrent depuis Bersabée jusqu'à la vallée d'Ennom.
31 And the children of Benjamin, from Geba, at Mechmas, and at Hai, and at Bethel, and in the villages thereof,	31 Les fils de Benjamin s'établirent depuis Géba, (à) Mechmas, (à) Haï, (à) Béthel et dans ses dépendances (filles),
32 At Anathoth, Nob, Anania,	32 (à) Anathoth, Nob, Anania,
33 Asor, Rama, Gethaim,	33 Asor, Rama, Géthaïm,
34 Hadid, Seboim, and Neballat, Led,	34 Hadid, Séboïm, Neballat, Lod,
35 And Ono the valley of craftsmen.	35 et (à) Ono, la vallée des Ouvriers.
36 And of the Levites were portions of Juda and Benjamin.	36 Et les Lévites avaient leur demeure sur les territoires (des portions) de Juda et de Benjamin.
