Giobbe 32

DIODATI	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 ORA essendo que’ tre uomini restati di rispondere a Giobbe, perchè gli pareva di esser giusto;	1 Then the three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2 Elihu, figliuolo di Baracheel, Buzita, della nazione di Ram, si accese nell’ira contro a Giobbe, perchè giustificava sè stesso anzi che Iddio;	2 But the anger of Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled. He was angry with Job for considering himself rather than God to be in the right.
3 e contro a’ tre amici di esso, perciocchè non aveano trovata alcuna replica, e pure aveano condannato Giobbe.	3 He was angry also with the three friends because they had not found a good answer and had not condemned Job.
4 Ora Elihu avea aspettato che Giobbe avesse parlato; perciocchè egli ed i suoi amici erano più attempati di lui.	4 But since these men were older than he, Elihu bided his time before addressing Job.
5 Ma, veggendo che non vi era replica alcuna nella bocca di que’ tre uomini, egli si accese nell’ira	5 When, however, Elihu saw that there was no reply in the mouths of the three men, his wrath was inflamed.
6 Ed Elihu, figliuolo di Baracheel, Buzita, parlò, e disse: Io son giovane, e voi siete molto attempati; Perciò io ho avuta paura, ed ho temuto Di dichiararvi il mio parere.	6 So Elihu, son of Barachel the Buzite, spoke out and said: I am young and you are very old; therefore I held back and was afraid to declare to you my knowledge.
7 Io diceva: L’età parlerà, E la moltitudine degli anni farà conoscere la sapienza.	7 Days should speak, I thought, and many years teach wisdom!
8 Certo lo spirito è negli uomini, Ma l’inspirazione dell’Onnipotente li fa intendere.	8 But it is a spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
9 I maggiori non son sempre savi; E i vecchi non intendono sempre la dirittura.	9 It is not those of many days who are wise, nor the aged who understand the right.
10 Perciò io ho detto: Ascoltatemi; Ed io ancora dichiarerò il mio parere.	10 Therefore I say, hearken to me; let me too set forth my knowledge!
11 Ecco, io ho aspettate le vostre parole, Io ho pòrto l’orecchio alle vostre considerazioni, Finchè voi aveste ricercati de’ ragionamenti.	11 Behold, I have waited for your discourses, and have given ear to your arguments.
12 Ma avendo posto mente a voi, Ecco, non vi è alcun di voi che convinca Giobbe, Che risponda a’ suoi ragionamenti;	12 Yes, I followed you attentively as you searched out what to say; And behold, there is none who has convicted Job, not one of you who could refute his statements.
13 Che talora non diciate: Noi abbiamo trovata la sapienza; Scaccilo ora Iddio, e non un uomo.	13 Yet do not say, "We have met wisdom. God may vanquish him but not man!"
14 Or egli non ha ordinati i suoi ragionamenti contro a me; Io altresì non gli risponderò secondo le vostre parole	14 For had he addressed his words to me, I should not then have answered him as you have done.
15 Essi si sono sgomentati, non hanno più risposto; Le parole sono state loro tolte di bocca.	15 They are dismayed, they make no more reply; words fail them.
16 Io dunque ho aspettato; ma perciocchè non parlano più, Perchè restano e non rispondono più;	16 Must I wait? Now that they speak no more, and have ceased to make reply,
17 Io ancora risponderò per la parte mia; Io ancora dichiarerò il mio parere;	17 I too will speak my part; I also will show my knowledge!
18 Perciocchè io son pieno di parole, Lo spirito del mio ventre mi stringe.	18 For I am full of matters to utter; the spirit within me compels me.
19 Ecco, il mio ventre è come un vino che non ha spiraglio, E schianterebbesi come barili nuovi.	19 Like a new wineskin with wine under pressure, my bosom is ready to burst.
20 Io parlerò adunque, ed avrò alcuna respirazione; Io aprirò le mie labbra, e risponderò.	20 Let me speak and obtain relief; let me open my lips, and make reply.
21 Già non mi avvenga di aver riguardo alla qualità della persona di alcuno; Io non m’infingerò parlando ad un uomo.	21 I would not be partial to anyone, nor give flattering titles to any.
22 Perciocchè io non so infingermi; Altrimenti, colui che mi ha fatto di subito mi torrebbe via	22 For I know nought of flattery; if I did, my Maker would soon take me away.
