LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore regna! Esulti la terra, si rallegrino le isole tutte.	1 Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!
2 Nubi e tenebre lo avvolgono, giustizia e diritto sono la base del suo trono.	2 Cloud, black cloud enfolds him, saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.
3 Il fuoco va davanti a lui, consuma tutt'intorno i suoi nemici;	3 Fire goes before him, sets ablaze his enemies al around;
4 rischiarano il mondo le sue folgori, sussulta, al vederle, la terra.	4 his lightning-flashes light up the world, the earth sees it and quakes.
5 I monti fondono come cera davanti a lui, davanti al Signore di tutta la terra.	5 The mountains melt like wax, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 Annunziano la sua giustizia i cieli e contemplano la sua gloria tutti i popoli.	6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.
7 Resteranno confusi gli adoratori degl'idoli, quanti si gloriano di nullità. Sono prostrati davanti a lui tutti gli dèi.	7 Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, al you gods!
8 Ha udito Sion e ne ha gioito, si sono rallegrate le figlie di Giuda, a causa dei tuoi giudizi, o Signore.	8 Zion hears and is glad, the daughters of Judah exult, because of your judgements, Yahweh.
9 Sì, tu sei l'Altissimo, Signore, su tutta la terra, oltremodo esaltato al di sopra di tutti gli dèi.	9 For you are Yahweh, Most High over al the earth, far transcending al gods.
10 Il Signore ama quanti odiano il male, custodisce la vita dei suoi fedeli, li salva dal potere degli empi.	10 Yahweh loves those who hate evil, he keeps safe his faithful, rescues them from the clutches of thewicked.
11 Una luce è sorta per i giusti, un motivo di gioia per i retti di cuore.	11 Light dawns for the upright, and joy for honest hearts.
12 Esultate nel Signore, o giusti, celebrate il suo santo nome.	12 Rejoice in Yahweh, you who are upright, praise his unforgettable holiness.
