Ezechiel 29

1 Am zwölften Tag des zehnten Monats im zehnten Jahr erging das Wort des Herrn an mich:	1 On the twelfth day of the tenth month in the tenth year, the word of the LORD came to me:
2 Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht auf den Pharao, den König von Ägypten, tritt als Prophet auf gegen ihn und gegen ganz Ägypten	2 Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt.
3 und sag: So spricht Gott, der Herr: Jetzt gehe ich gegen dich vor, Pharao, du König Ägyptens, du großes Krokodil, das zwischen den Armen des Nil liegt und sagt: Mir gehören die Arme des Nil, ich habe sie selber erschaffen.	3 Say this to him: Thus says the Lord GOD: See! I am coming at you, Pharaoh, king of Egypt, Great crouching monster amidst your Niles: Who say, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them!"
4 Aber ich schlage dir Haken durch die Kinnbacken und lasse die Fische deines Nil an deinen Schuppen kleben. Ich ziehe dich herauf aus deinem Nil samt all den Fischen deines Nil, die an deinen Schuppen kleben.	4 I will put hooks in your jaws and make the fish of your Niles stick to your scales, then draw you up from the midst of your Niles along with all the fish of your Niles sticking to your scales.
5 Dann werfe ich dich in die Wüste hinaus, dich und all die Fische des Nil. Aufs trockene Land wirst du fallen. Niemand holt dich von dort und begräbt dich. Den wilden Tieren und den Vögeln des Himmels werfe ich dich vor zum Fraß.	5 I will cast you into the desert, you and all the fish of your Niles; You shall fall upon the open field, you shall not be taken up or buried; To the beasts of the earth and the birds of the air I give you as food,
6 Dann werden alle Ägypter erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin. Eine Stütze aus Schilfrohr bist du für das Haus Israel.	6 That all who dwell in Egypt may know that I am the LORD. Because you have been a reed staff for the house of Israel:
7 Nehmen sie dich in die Hand, dann zerbrichst du und durchbohrst ihnen die Schulter;stützen sie sich auf dich, dann zerbrichst du und allen beginnen die Hüften zu wanken.	7 When they held you in hand, you splintered, throwing every shoulder out of joint; When they leaned on you, you broke, bringing each one of them down headlong;
8 Darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr: Ich bringe das Schwert über dich und rotte Mensch und Vieh bei dir aus.	8 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: See! I will bring the sword against you, and cut off from you both man and beast.
9 Ägypten wird zu Wüste und Ödland. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin. Du hast gesagt: Mir gehören die Arme des Nil; ich habe sie selber erschaffen.	9 The land of Egypt shall become a desolate waste; thus they shall know that I am the LORD. Because you said, "The Niles are mine; it is I who made them,"
10 Darum gehe ich jetzt gegen dich und deine Nilarme vor. Ich mache Ägypten zum dürren Ödland, zur Wüste von Migdol bis Syene und bis an die Grenzen von Kusch.	10 therefore see! I am coming at you and against your Niles; I will make the land of Egypt a waste and a desolation from Migdol to Syene, and even to the frontier of Ethiopia.
11 Weder Mensch noch Tier geht mehr darüber hin. Vierzig Jahre lang wird es nicht mehr bewohnt sein.	11 No foot of man or beast shall pass through it; they shall not pass through it, and it will be uninhabited for forty years.
12 Ich mache Ägypten zur Wüste inmitten verwüsteter Länder. Seine Städte sollen vierzig Jahre lang verwüstet daliegen inmitten verödeter Städte. Ich zerstreue die Ägypter unter die Völker und vertreibe sie in alle Länder.	12 I will make the land of Egypt the most desolate of lands, and its cities shall be the most deserted of cities for forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and strew them over foreign lands.
13 Denn so spricht Gott, der Herr: Nach vierzig Jahren führe ich die Ägypter aus den Völkern zusammen, unter die sie zerstreut wurden.	13 Yet thus says the Lord GOD: At the end of forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the peoples among whom they are scattered,
14 Ich wende das Geschick Ägyptens und bringe sie zurück in das Land Patros, das Land ihrer Herkunft. Dort werden sie ein unbedeutendes Reich gründen.	14 and I will restore Egypt's fortune, bringing them back to the land of Pathros, the land of their origin, where it will be the lowliest
15 Es wird unbedeutend sein im Vergleich zu den anderen Königreichen, und es wird sich nicht mehr über die anderen Völker erheben. Ich mache sie ganz klein, damit sie nicht mehr über die Völker herrschen können.	15 of kingdoms, never more to set itself above the nations. I will make them few, that they may not dominate the nations.
16 Das Haus Israel wird ihnen nicht mehr vertrauen und sich ihnen nicht mehr anschließen; es wird sich hüten, seine alte Schuld wieder in Erinnerung zu rufen. Sie werden erkennen, dass ich Gott, der Herr, bin.	16 No longer shall they be for the house of Israel to trust in, but the living reminder of its guilt for having turned to follow after them. Thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
17 Am ersten Tag des ersten Monats im siebenundzwanzigsten Jahr erging das Wort des Herrn an mich:	17 On the first day of the first month in the twenty-seventh year, the word of the LORD came to me:
18 Menschensohn! Nebukadnezzar, der König von Babel, hat sein Heer vor Tyrus schwere Arbeit verrichten lassen; alle Köpfe wurden kahl und jede Schulter war zerschunden. Aber Tyrus hat ihn und sein Heer nicht belohnt für die Arbeit, die sie geleistet haben.	18 Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has led his army in an exhausting campaign against Tyre. Their heads became bald and their shoulders were galled; but neither he nor his army received any wages from Tyre for the campaign he led against it.
19 Darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr: Ich gebe Nebukadnezzar, dem König von Babel, das Land Ägypten. Er wird seine Schätze wegschleppen; er wird alles plündern und reiche Beute machen. Das wird der Lohn seines Heeres sein.	19 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: I am now giving the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. He shall carry off its riches, plundering and pillaging it for the wages of his soldiers, who did it for me;
20 Als Belohnung für seine Arbeit gebe ich ihm Ägypten; denn sie haben für mich gearbeitet - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.	20 as payment for his toil I have given him the land of Egypt, says the Lord GOD.
21 An jenem Tag werde ich dem Haus Israel neue Kraft verleihen und du sollst wieder zu ihnen reden. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.	21 On that day I will make a horn sprout for the house of Israel, and I will cause you to speak out in their midst; thus they shall know that I am the LORD.
