Ezechiel 14

EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL	NEW AMERICAN BIBLE
1 Einige von den Ältesten Israels kamen zu mir und setzten sich vor mir nieder.	1 When certain elders of Israel came and sat down before me,
2 Da erging das Wort des Herrn an mich:	2 the word of the LORD came to me:
3 Menschensohn, diese Männer haben die Götzen in ihr Herz geschlossen, sie haben sie vor sich aufgestellt; das wurde für sie der Anlass, in Schuld zu fallen. Und jetzt soll ich mich von ihnen befragen lassen?	3 Son of man, these men have the memory of their idols fresh in their hearts, and they keep the occasion of their sin before them. Why should I allow myself to be consulted by them?
4 Darum sprich mit ihnen und sag zu ihnen: Wenn jemand aus dem Haus Israel die Götzen in sein Herz geschlossen und sie vor sich aufgestellt hat - was für ihn der Anlass geworden ist, in Schuld zu fallen - und wenn er dann zum Propheten kommt, dann werde ich, der Herr, dem, der mit seinen vielen Götzen zu mir kommt, in eigener Person antworten:	4 Therefore speak with them, and say to them: Thus says the Lord GOD: If anyone of the house of Israel, holding the memory of his idols in his heart and keeping the occasion of his sin before him, has recourse to a prophet, I, the LORD, will be his answer in person because of his many idols.
5 Ich werde das Haus Israel hart anfassen, weil sie alle sich um ihrer Götzen willen von mir abgewandt haben.	5 Thus would I bring back to their senses the house of Israel, who have become estranged from me through all their idols.
6 Darum sag zum Haus Israel: So spricht Gott, der Herr: Kehrt um! Verlasst eure Götzen und wendet eure Augen ab von all euren abscheulichen Göttern!	6 Therefore say to the house of Israel: Thus says the Lord GOD: Return and be converted from your idols; turn yourselves away from all your abominations.
7 Wenn jemand aus dem Haus Israel oder aus den in Israel lebenden Fremden sich von mir abwendet, wenn er die Götzen in sein Herz schließt und sie vor sich aufstellt - was für ihn der Anlass wird, in Schuld zu fallen - und wenn er dann zum Propheten kommt, um mich zu befragen, dann werde ich, der Herr, ihm in eigener Person antworten:	7 For if anyone of the house of Israel or any alien resident in Israel is estranged from me, and holds the memory of his idols in his heart and keeps the occasion of his sin before him, yet asks a prophet to consult me for him, I, the LORD, will be his answer in person.
8 Ich richte meinen Blick gegen diesen Mann und mache ihn zum sprichwörtlichen (warnenden) Zeichen, ich merze ihn aus meinem Volk aus. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin.	8 I will turn against that man, and make of him an example and a byword. I will cut him off from the midst of my people. Thus you shall know that I am the LORD.
9 Wenn der Prophet sich jedoch dazu verleiten lässt, etwas zu sagen, dann habe ich, der Herr, diesen Propheten verleitet und ich werde meine Hand gegen ihn ausstrecken und ihn mitten in meinem Volk Israel vernichten.	9 As for the prophet, if he is beguiled into speaking a word, I, the LORD, shall have beguiled that prophet; I will stretch out my hand against him and root him out of my people Israel.
10 Sie werden beide die Folgen ihrer Schuld tragen müssen; denn die Schuld dessen, der mich befragt, und die Schuld des Propheten sind gleich.	10 Each shall receive punishment for his sin, the inquirer and the prophet shall be punished alike,
11 Dann wird sich das Haus Israel nicht mehr davon abbringen lassen, mir zu folgen, und wird sich nicht länger durch all seine Sünden unrein machen. Sie werden mein Volk sein und ich werde ihr Gott sein - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.	11 so that the house of Israel may no longer stray from me and may no longer be defiled by all their sins. Thus they shall be my people, and I will be their God, says the Lord GOD.
12 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:	12 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
13 Menschensohn, wenn sich ein Land gegen mich versündigt und mir die Treue bricht und wenn ich dann meine Hand gegen das Land ausstrecke, ihm seinen Vorrat an Brot entziehe, den Hunger ins Land schicke und Mensch und Tier ausrotte	13 Son of man, when a land sins against me by breaking faith, I stretch out my hand against it and break its staff of bread, I let famine loose upon it and cut off from it both man and beast;
14 und wenn in diesem Land die drei Männer Noach, Daniel und Ijob leben würden, dann würden nur diese drei um ihrer Gerechtigkeit willen ihr Leben retten - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.	14 and even if these three men were in it, Noah, Daniel, and Job, they could save only themselves by their virtue, says the Lord GOD.
15 Oder wenn ich wilde Tiere gegen das Land losließe, die es entvölkern, sodass es zur Wüste würde und wegen der wilden Tiere kein Mensch mehr durch das Land reisen könnte,	15 If I were to cause wild beasts to prowl the land, depopulating it so that it became a waste, traversed by none because of the wild beasts,
16 und wenn diese drei Männer darin wären - so wahr ich lebe, Spruch Gottes, des Herrn: sie würden nicht einmal ihre eigenen Söhne und Töchter retten. Nur sie selbst könnten sich retten, das Land aber würde zur Wüste werden.	16 and these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I swear they could save neither sons nor daughters; they alone would be saved, and the land would be a waste.
17 Oder wenn ich das Schwert über dieses Land bringen und sagen würde: Ein Schwert soll durch das Land fahren, ich will Mensch und Tier darin ausrotten!,	17 Or if I brought the sword upon this country, commanding the sword to pass through the land cutting off from it man and beast,
18 und wenn diese drei Männer darin wären - so wahr ich lebe, Spruch Gottes, des Herrn: sie würden nicht einmal ihre eigenen Söhne und Töchter retten. Nur sie selbst könnten sich retten.	18 and these three men were in it, as I live, says the Lord GOD, they would be unable to save either sons or daughters; they alone would be saved.
19 Oder wenn ich die Pest in jenes Land schicken und meinen Zorn darüber ausgießen würde, um Mensch und Tier in einem Blutbad zu vernichten,	19 Or if I were to send pestilence into this land, pouring out upon it my bloodthirsty fury, cutting off from it man and beast,
20 und wenn Noach, Daniel und Ijob in dem Land wären - so wahr ich lebe, Spruch Gottes, des Herrn: nicht einmal ihren Sohn und ihre Tochter würden sie retten. Sie würden nur ihr eigenes Leben retten, um ihrer Gerechtigkeit willen.	20 even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live, says the Lord GOD, I swear that they could save neither son nor daughter; they would save only themselves by their virtue.
21 Wahrhaftig, so spricht Gott, der Herr: Selbst wenn ich die vier schlimmsten Strafen, Schwert, Hunger, wilde Tiere und Pest, über Jerusalem bringe, um Mensch und Tier auszurotten,	21 Thus says the Lord GOD: Even though I send Jerusalem my four cruel punishments, the sword, famine, wild beasts, and pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast,
22 werden einige in der Stadt verschont werden und übrig bleiben und ihre Söhne und Töchter zu euch herausführen. Wenn ihr dann ihr Verhalten und ihre Taten seht, werdet ihr euch über das Unheil hinwegtrösten, das ich über Jerusalem verhängt habe, über alles, was ich über die Stadt kommen ließ.	22 still some survivors shall be left in it who will bring out sons and daughters; when they come out to you, you shall see their conduct and their actions and be consoled regarding the evil I have brought on Jerusalem (all that I have brought upon it).
23 Sie trösten euch darüber hinweg, weil ihr ihr Verhalten und ihre Taten seht und daran erkennt, dass ich all das, was ich mit der Stadt machte, nicht ohne Grund getan habe - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.	23 They shall console you when you see their conduct and actions, for you shall then know that it was not without reason that I did to it what I did, says the Lord GOD.
