2 Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me: for my soul trusteth in thee. And in the shadow of thy wings will I hope, until iniquity pass away.	2 Pietà di me, pietà di me, o Dio, in te mi rifugio; mi rifugio all'ombra delle tue ali finché sia passato il pericolo.
3 I will cry to God the most High; to God who hath done good to me.	3 Invocherò Dio, l'Altissimo, Dio che mi fa il bene.
4 He hath sent from heaven and delivered me: he hath made them a reproach that trod upon me. God hath sent his mercy and his truth,	4 Mandi dal cielo a salvarmi dalla mano dei miei persecutori, Dio mandi la sua fedeltà e la sua grazia.
5 and he hath delivered my soul from the midst of the young lions. I slept troubled. The sons of men, whose teeth are weapons and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.	5 Io sono come in mezzo a leoni, che divorano gli uomini; i loro denti sono lance e frecce, la loro lingua spada affilata.
6 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens, and thy glory above all the earth.	6 Innàlzati sopra il cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra la tua gloria.
7 They prepared a snare for my feet; and they bowed down my soul. They dug a pit before my face, and they are fallen into it.	7 Hanno teso una rete ai miei piedi, mi hanno piegato, hanno scavato davanti a me una fossa e vi sono caduti.
8 My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will Sing, and rehearse a psalm.	8 Saldo è il mio cuore, o Dio, saldo è il mio cuore.
9 Arise, O my glory, arise psaltery and harp: I will arise early.	9 Voglio cantare, a te voglio inneggiare: svègliati, mio cuore, svègliati arpa, cetra, voglio svegliare l'aurora.
10 I will give praise to thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing a psalm to thee among the nations.	10 Ti loderò tra i popoli, Signore, a te canterò inni tra le genti.
11 For thy mercy is magnified even to the heavens: and thy truth unto the clouds.	11 perché la tua bontà è grande fino ai cieli, e la tua fedeltà fino alle nubi.
12 Be thou exalted, O God, above the l heavens: and thy glory above all the earth.	12 Innàlzati sopra il cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra la tua gloria.
