1 QUESTA è la descrizione delle generazioni di Adamo. Nel giorno che Iddio creò l’uomo, egli lo fece alla sua somiglianza.	1 This is the book of the lineage of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.
2 Egli li creò maschio e femmina, e li benedisse, e pose loro nome UOMO, nel giorno che furono creati.	2 He created them, male and female; and he blessed them. And he called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 Ora Adamo, essendo vivuto centotrent’anni, generò un figliuolo alla sua somiglianza, secondo la sua immagine; e gli pose nome Set.	3 Then Adam lived for one hundred and thirty years. And then he conceived a son in his own image and likeness, and he called his name Seth.
4 E il tempo che visse Adamo, dopo ch’ebbe generato Set, fu ottocent’anni; e generò figliuoli e figliuole.	4 And after he conceived Seth, the days of Adam that passed were eight hundred years. And he conceived sons and daughters.
5 Così tutto il tempo che visse Adamo fu novecentrent’anni; poi morì	5 And all the time that passed while Adam lived was nine hundred and thirty years, and then he died.
6 E Set, essendo vivuto centocinque anni, generò Enos.	6 Seth likewise lived for one hundred and five years, and then he conceived Enos.

22 Ed Enoc, dopo ch’ebbe generato Metusela, camminò con Dio per lo spazio di trecent’anni e generò figliuoli e figliuole.	22 And Enoch walked with God. And after he conceived Methuselah, he lived for three hundred years, and he conceived sons and daughters.
23 Così, tutto il tempo che Enoc visse fu trecento sessanta cinque anni.	23 And all the days of Enoch that passed were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 E dopo che Enoc fu camminato con Dio, non si vide più; perciocchè Iddio lo prese	24 And he walked with God, and then he was seen no more, because God took him.
25 E Metusela, essendo vivuto cento ottantasette anni, generò Lamec.	25 Likewise, Methuselah lived for one hundred and eighty-seven years, and then he conceived Lamech.
26 E Metusela, dopo ch’ebbe generato Lamec, visse settecento ottantadue anni, e generò figliuoli e figliuole.	26 And after he conceived Lamech, Methuselah lived for seven hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived sons and daughters.
27 Così, tutto il tempo che Metusela visse fu novecento sessantanove anni; poi morì	27 And all the days of Methuselah that passed were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and then he died.
28 E Lamec, essendo vivuto cento ottantadue anni, generò un figliuolo.	28 Then Lamech lived for one hundred and eighty-two years, and he conceived a son.
29 E gli pose nome Noè, dicendo: Costui ci consolerà della nostra opera, e della fatica delle nostre mani, la quale portiamo per cagion della terra che il Signore ha maladetta.	29 And he called his name Noah, saying, “This one will console us from the works and hardships of our hands, in the land that the Lord has cursed.”
30 E Lamec, dopo ch’ebbe generato Noè, visse cinquecento novantacinque anni, e generò figliuoli e figliuole.	30 And after he conceived Noah, Lamech lived for five hundred and ninety-five years, and he conceived sons and daughters.
31 Così tutto il tempo che Lamec visse fu settecento settantasette anni; poi morì.	31 And all the days of Lamech that passed were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and then he died. In truth, when Noah was five hundred years old, he conceived Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
32 E Noè, essendo di età di cinquecent’anni, generò Sem, Cam e Iafet
