1 Yahvé s’adressa à Moïse:	1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
2 “Le premier jour du premier mois, lui dit-il, tu dresseras la Demeure, la Tente du Rendez-Vous.	2 "On the first day of the first month you shall erect the Dwelling of the meeting tent.
3 Tu y mettras l’Arche du Témoignage et tu la couvriras avec le voile.	3 Put the ark of the commandments in it, and screen off the ark with the veil.
4 Tu apporteras la table et tu la garniras. Tu apporteras le chandelier et tu y fixeras les lampes.	4 Bring in the table and set it. Then bring in the lampstand and set up the lamps on it.
5 Tu placeras l’autel d’or pour le parfum, devant l’Arche du Témoignage, et tu mettras le rideau à l’entrée de la Demeure.	5 Put the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the commandments, and hang the curtain at the entrance of the Dwelling.
6 Tu placeras l’autel des holocaustes devant l’entrée de la Demeure, devant l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous.	6 Put the altar of holocausts in front of the entrance of the Dwelling of the meeting tent.
7 Tu placeras le bassin entre la Tente du Rendez-Vous et l’autel, et tu y mettras de l’eau.	7 Place the laver between the meeting tent and the altar, and put water in it.
8 Tu clôtureras la cour tout autour, et tu fixeras la tenture de la porte de la cour.	8 Set up the court round about, and put the curtain at the entrance of the court.
9 Tu prendras l’huile de consécration, tu oindras avec cette huile la Demeure et tout ce qu’elle contient. Tu la consacreras avec tous ses ustensiles, et elle sera sainte.	9 "Take the anointing oil and anoint the Dwelling and everything in it, consecrating it and all its furnishings, so that it will be sacred.
10 Tu consacreras l’autel des holocaustes et tous ses accessoires. Tu consacreras l’autel, et l’autel sera très saint.	10 Anoint the altar of holocausts and all its appurtenances, consecrating it, so that it will be most sacred.
11 Tu oindras le bassin avec son support et tu le consacreras.	11 Likewise, anoint the laver with its base, and thus consecrate it.
12 Tu feras avancer Aaron et ses fils vers l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous et tu les laveras avec de l’eau.	12 "Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the meeting tent, and there wash them with water.
13 Puis tu habilleras Aaron avec les vêtements sacrés, tu l’oindras et tu le consacreras, et il sera prêtre à mon service.	13 Clothe Aaron with the sacred vestments and anoint him, thus consecrating him as my priest.
14 Tu feras ensuite approcher ses fils, tu les habilleras de leur tunique,	14 Bring forward his sons also, and clothe them with the tunics.
15 tu les oindras comme tu auras oint leur père, et ils seront prêtres à mon service. Par cette onction ils recevront le sacerdoce perpétuel, pour les générations et les générations.”	15 As you have anointed their father, anoint them also as my priests. Thus, by being anointed, shall they receive a perpetual priesthood throughout all future generations."
16 Moïse fit tout comme Yahvé le lui avait ordonné, c’est ainsi qu’il fit.	16 Moses did exactly as the LORD had commanded him.
17 Le premier jour du premier mois de la deuxième année, la Demeure fut mise en place. Moïse dressa la Demeure:	17 On the first day of the first month of the second year the Dwelling was erected.
18 il en posa les supports, il mit en place les planches et les traverses, il dressa les colonnes;	18 It was Moses who erected the Dwelling. He placed its pedestals, set up its boards, put in its bars, and set up its columns.
19 il étendit la Tente au-dessus de la Demeure et mit par-dessus la couverture de la Tente, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	19 He spread the tent over the Dwelling and put the covering on top of the tent, as the LORD had commanded him.
20 Il prit le Témoignage et le mit dans l’Arche, il fixa les barres à l’Arche, et posa l’Instrument de l’Expiation au-dessus de l’Arche.	20 He took the commandments and put them in the ark; he placed poles alongside the ark and set the propitiatory upon it.
21 Il introduisit l’Arche dans la Demeure et il plaça la couverture de protection sur l’Arche du Témoignage, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	21 He brought the ark into the Dwelling and hung the curtain veil, thus screening off the ark of the commandments, as the LORD had commanded him.
22 Il plaça la table dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, du côté nord de la demeure, en avant du rideau,	22 He put the table in the meeting tent, on the north side of the Dwelling, outside the veil,
23 et il y posa les pains devant Yahvé, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	23 and arranged the bread on it before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.
24 Il plaça le chandelier dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, en face de la table, du côté sud de la Demeure,	24 He placed the lampstand in the meeting tent, opposite the table, on the south side of the Dwelling,
25 et il alluma les lampes devant Yahvé, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	25 and he set up the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD had commanded him.
26 Il mit l’autel d’or dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, devant le rideau,	26 He placed the golden altar in the meeting tent, in front of the veil,
27 et il fit brûler l’encens, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	27 and on it he burned fragrant incense, as the LORD had commanded him.
28 Il fixa le rideau à l’entrée de la Demeure,	28 He hung the curtain at the entrance of the Dwelling.
29 il mit l’autel des sacrifices par le feu devant l’entrée de la Demeure, de la Tente du Rendez-Vous, et il offrit un holocauste et une offrande, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	29 He put the altar of holocausts in front of the entrance of the Dwelling of the meeting tent, and offered holocausts and cereal offerings on it, as the LORD had commanded him.
30 Il plaça le bassin entre la Tente du Rendez-Vous et l’autel, et il le remplit d’eau pour les ablutions.	30 He placed the laver between the meeting tent and the altar, and put water in it for washing.
31 Moïse, Aaron et ses fils s’y lavèrent les mains et les pieds.	31 Moses and Aaron and his sons used to wash their hands and feet there,
32 Quand ils entraient dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous et qu’ils s’approchaient de l’autel, ils se lavaient, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.	32 for they washed themselves whenever they went into the meeting tent or approached the altar, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
33 Il installa la cour autour de la Demeure et de l’autel, et il attacha la tenture à la porte de la cour. Et c’est ainsi que Moïse termina tout ce travail.	33 Finally, he set up the court around the Dwelling and the altar and hung the curtain at the entrance of the court. Thus Moses finished all the work.
34 Alors la nuée couvrit la Tente du Rendez-Vous et la Gloire de Yahvé emplit la Demeure.	34 Then the cloud covered the meeting tent, and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.
35 Moïse ne pouvait plus entrer dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, parce que la nuée la couvrait et que la Gloire de Yahvé remplissait la Demeure.	35 Moses could not enter the meeting tent, because the cloud settled down upon it and the glory of the LORD filled the Dwelling.
36 Tout au long de leurs étapes, les Israélites se mettaient en route lorsque la nuée s’élevait au-dessus de la Demeure.	36 Whenever the cloud rose from the Dwelling, the Israelites would set out on their journey.
37 Mais si la nuée ne bougeait pas, ils ne se mettaient pas en route jusqu’au jour où elle se levait,	37 But if the cloud did not lift, they would not go forward; only when it lifted did they go forward.
38 car la nuée de Yahvé reposait sur la Demeure durant le jour, à la vue de toute la maison d’Israël, et pendant la nuit un feu brillait au milieu d’elle. Il en fut ainsi tout au long de leur route.	38 In the daytime the cloud of the LORD was seen over the Dwelling; whereas at night, fire was seen in the cloud by the whole house of Israel in all the stages of their journey.
