1 Inno. Salmo. Dei figli di Core.	1 [Song Psalm Of the sons of Korah] Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God,the holy mountain,
2 Grande è il Signore e degno di ogni lode nella città del nostro Dio. Il suo santo monte,	2 towering in beauty, the joy of the whole world: Mount Zion in the heart of the north, the settlement ofthe great king;
3 che si eleva nella sua bellezza, è la gioia di tutta la terra: il monte Sion, l'arcana dimora del nord, la città del gran re.	3 God himself among its palaces has proved himself its bulwark.
4 Dio nei suoi torrioni qual rocca si è dimostrato.	4 For look, kings made al iance, together they advanced;
5 Poiché ecco: i re si erano radunati, insieme avevano marciato;	5 without a second glance, when they saw, they panicked and fled away.
6 ma appena essi videro, rimasero stupefatti, atterriti si diedero alla fuga;	6 Trembling seized them on the spot, pains like those of a woman in labour;
7 là il terrore li colse, uno spasimo come di partoriente,	7 it was the east wind, that wrecker of ships from Tarshish.
8 come al soffiar del vento d'oriente che sconquassa le navi di Tarsis.	8 What we had heard we saw for ourselves in the city of our God, in the city of Yahweh Sabaoth, whichGod has established for ever.Pause
9 Proprio come udimmo, così abbiamo visto, nella città del Signore delle schiere, nella città del nostro Dio, che Dio rende salda in eterno.	9 We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple!
10 Celebriamo, o Dio, la tua misericordia nell'interno del tuo tempio.	10 Both your name and your praise, God, are over the whole wide world. Your right hand is ful of savingjustice,
11 Come il tuo nome, o Dio, così giunge la tua lode su tutta la terra: piena di giustizia è la tua destra.	11 Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice.
12 Si rallegri il monte Sion, esultino le figlie di Giuda a causa dei tuoi giudizi.	12 Go round Zion, walk right through her, count her bastions,
13 Girate intorno a Sion e andatele attorno: enumerate le sue torri;	13 admire her walls, examine her palaces, to tel future generations
14 osservate le sue mura, passate in rassegna i suoi torrioni, affinché possiate riferire a quelli della generazione ventura	14 that such is God; our God for ever and ever, he is our guide!
15 che tale è Dio, il nostro Dio, in eterno e per sempre; egli è colui che ci guida.
