1 For the leader. A song; a psalm.	1 Al maestro di coro. Canto. Salmo. Acclamate a Dio da tutta la terra,
2 Shout joyfully to God, all you on earth; sing of his glorious name; give him glorious praise.	2 inneggiate alla gloria del suo nome; rendete splendida la sua lode.
3 Say to God: "How awesome your deeds! Before your great strength your enemies cringe.	3 Dite a Dio: "Sono stupende le tue opere, per la grandezza della tua forza davanti a te si piegano i tuoi avversari.
4 All on earth fall in worship before you; they sing of you, sing of your name!" Selah	4 Davanti a te si prostra tutta la terra e inneggia a te, inneggia al tuo nome".
5 Come and see the works of God, awesome in the deeds done for us.	5 Orsù, contemplate le meraviglie di Dio: mirabile è il suo agire verso i figli dell'uomo.
6 He changed the sea to dry land; through the river they passed on foot. Therefore let us rejoice in him,	6 Mutò il mare in terra ferma, a piedi passarono il corso d'acqua. Orsù, rallegriamoci in lui!
7 who rules by might forever, Whose eyes are fixed upon the nations. Let no rebel rise to challenge! Selah	7 Con la sua potenza egli domina in eterno, scrutano i suoi occhi le nazioni perché non si sollevino i ribelli contro di lui.
8 Bless our God, you peoples; loudly sound his praise,	8 Benedite, o popoli, il nostro Dio e proclamate a piena voce la sua lode.
9 Who has kept us alive and not allowed our feet to slip.	9 Egli ha posto fra i vivi la nostra anima, e non ha permesso che vacillassero i nostri passi.
10 You tested us, O God, tried us as silver tried by fire.	10 Sì, o Dio, tu ci hai messi alla prova, ci hai fatti passare al crogiuolo, come si passa l'argento.
11 You led us into a snare; you bound us at the waist as captives.	11 Ci hai fatti cadere in agguato, hai posto un peso ai nostri fianchi.
12 You let captors set foot on our neck; we went through fire and water; then you led us out to freedom.	12 Hai fatto sì che cavalcassero gli uomini sulle nostre teste. Abbiamo camminato in mezzo al fuoco e in mezzo all'acqua. Ma ci hai tratti, alla fine, in un luogo di ristoro.
13 I will bring holocausts to your house; to you I will fulfill my vows,	13 Voglio entrare nella tua casa con olocausti e per te adempiere i miei voti;

16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, while I recount what has been done for me.	16 Orsù, ascoltate, quanti temete Dio, perché voglio narrarvi ciò che egli ha fatto all'anima mia.
17 I called to the Lord with my mouth; praise was upon my tongue.	17 A lui gridai con la mia bocca e già la lode era nella mia lingua.
18 Had I cherished evil in my heart, the Lord would not have heard.	18 Se avessi riscontrato una colpa nel mio cuore, non mi avrebbe esaudito il Signore.
19 But God did hear and listened to my voice in prayer.	19 Ma Dio mi ha ascoltato; ha prestato attenzione alla voce della mia preghiera.
20 Blessed be God, who did not refuse me the kindness I sought in prayer.	20 Sia benedetto Dio, che non ha respinto la mia preghiera e non mi ha rifiutato la sua misericordia.
