Isaiæ 62

VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Propter Sion non tacebo, et propter Jerusalem non quiescam, donec egrediatur ut splendor justus ejus, et salvator ejus ut lampas accendatur.	1 About Zion I wil not be silent, about Jerusalem I shal not rest until saving justice dawns for her like abright light and her salvation like a blazing torch.
2 Et videbunt gentes justum tuum, et cuncti reges inclytum tuum ; et vocabitur tibi nomen novum, quod os Domini nominabit.	2 The nations wil then see your saving justice, and all kings your glory, and you wil be cal ed a newname which Yahweh's mouth wil reveal.
3 Et eris corona gloriæ in manu Domini, et diadema regni in manu Dei tui.	3 You will be a crown of splendour in Yahweh's hand, a princely diadem in the hand of your God.
4 Non vocaberis ultra Derelicta, et terra tua non vocabitur amplius Desolata ; sed vocaberis, Voluntas mea in ea, et terra tua Inhabitata, quia complacuit Domino in te, et terra tua inhabitabitur.	4 No more wil you be known as 'Forsaken' or your country be known as 'Desolation'; instead, you wil becal ed 'My Delight is in her' and your country 'The Wedded'; for Yahweh wil take delight in you and your countrywil have its wedding.
5 Habitabit enim juvenis cum virgine, et habitabunt in te filii tui ; et gaudebit sponsus super sponsam, et gaudebit super te Deus tuus.	5 Like a young man marrying a virgin, your rebuilder will wed you, and as the bridegroom rejoices in his bride, so wil your God rejoice in you.
6 Super muros tuos, Jerusalem, constitui custodes ; tota die et tota nocte in perpetuum non tacebunt. Qui reminiscimini Domini, ne taceatis,	6 On your wal s, Jerusalem, I have posted watchmen; they will never fal silent, day or night. No peace foryou, as you keep Yahweh's attention!
7 et ne detis silentium ei, donec stabiliat et donec ponat Jerusalem laudem in terra.	7 And give him no peace either until he restores Jerusalem and makes her the pride of the world!
8 Juravit Dominus in dextera sua, et in brachio fortitudinis suæ : Si dedero triticum tuum ultra cibum inimicis tuis ; et si biberint filii alieni vinum tuum in quo laborasti.	8 Yahweh has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm: Never again shall I give your grain to feedyour enemies. Never again will foreigners drink the wine for which you have toiled.
9 Quia qui congregant illud, comedent, et laudabunt Dominum ; et qui comportant illud, bibent in atriis sanctis meis.	9 No, the reapers wil eat it and praise Yahweh, the harvesters will drink it in my sacred courts!
10 Transite, transite per portas, præparate viam populo : planum facite iter, eligite lapides, et elevate signum ad populos.	10 Pass through, pass through the gates. Clear a way for my people! Level up, level up the highway,remove the stones! Hoist a signal to the peoples!
11 Ecce Dominus auditum fecit in extremis terræ : Dicite filiæ Sion : Ecce Salvator tuus venit ; ecce merces ejus cum eo, et opus ejus coram illo.	11 This is what Yahweh has proclaimed to the remotest part of earth: Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Look,your salvation is coming; with him comes his reward, his achievement precedes him!'
12 Et vocabunt eos, Populus sanctus, redempti a Domino ; tu autem vocaberis, Quæsita civitas, et non Derelicta.	12 They will be cal ed 'The Holy People', 'Yahweh's Redeemed', while you will be cal ed 'Sought-after','City-not-forsaken'.
