1 - L'anno secondo dell'uscita degli Ebrei dall'Egitto, il primo giorno del secondo mese, il Signore parlò a Mosè nel deserto di Sinai, nel tabernacolo dell'alleanza e disse:	1 And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 «Fate il computo di tutta quanta l'assemblea de' figliuoli d'Israele, per casate e famiglie e individui, di tutti i maschi	2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;
3 da vent'anni in su, di tutti gli uomini forti d'Israele; contateli a schiere a schiere, tu ed Aronne.	3 From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.
4 Saranno con voi i principali delle tribù, che siano capi di famiglie nella loro casata.	4 And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.
5 Sono questi i loro nomi: di Ruben, Elisur figlio di Sedeur;	5 And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.
6 di Simeon, Salamiel, figlio di Surisaddai;	6 Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
7 di Giuda, Naasson figlio d'Aminadab;	7 Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
8 d'Issacar, Natanael figlio di Suar;	8 Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.
9 di Zabulon, Eliab figlio di Helon;	9 Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.
10 dei figli di Giuseppe: per Efraim, Elisama figlio di Ammiud; e per Manasse, Gamaliel figlio di Fadassur;	10 Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
11 di Beniamino, Abidan figlio di Gedeone;	11 Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.
12 di Dan, Aiezer figlio di Ammisaddai;	12 Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
13 d'Aser, Fegiel figlio di Ocran;	13 Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.
14 di Gad, Eliasaf, figlio di Duel;	14 Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
15 di Neftali, Aira figlio di Enan».	15 Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.
16 Questi i principi della moltitudine, elettissimi nelle loro tribù e casate, capi dell'esercito d'Israele.	16 These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.
17 Mosè ed Aronne li chiamarono con tutta la moltitudine del popolo,	17 And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:
18 e li riunirono il primo giorno del secondo mese, per farne il censimento secondo le casate, le case, le famiglie e le persone, coi nomi di ciascheduno, da vent'anni in su,	18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.
19 come aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè. Il computo fu fatto nel deserto di Sinai.	19 As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.
20 Discendenti da Ruben primogenito d'Israele, maschi da vent'anni in su, buoni alla guerra, contati col loro nome testa per testa, secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case loro, furono in tutto	20 And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
21 quarantaseimila e cinquecento.	21 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
22 Discendenti da Simeon, secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case della loro stirpe, contati per nome e per testa, i maschi da vent'anni in su, buoni alla guerra furono in tutto	22 Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
23 cinquantanovemila e trecento.	23 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.
24 Discendenti da Gad, secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case della loro stirpe, furono contati e chiamati ciascuno per nome, da vent'anni in poi, tutti gli atti alla guerra,	24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
25 quarantacinquemila e seicentocinquanta.	25 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.
26 De' figli di Giuda, per genealogie, famiglie e case della loro stirpe, da vent'anni in su, per nome e per testa, quelli abili alla guerra furono in tutto	26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
27 noverati a settantaquattromila e seicento.	27 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.
28 De' figli d'Issacar, per genealogie, famiglie e case della loro stirpe, di vent'anni ed oltre atti alla guerra, chiamati ciascuno per nome,	28 Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
29 ne furono noverati in tutto cinquantaquattromila e quattrocento.	29 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.
30 Della tribù di Zabulon, chiamati a nome ciascuno, secondo le genealogie, famiglie e case della loro stirpe, tutti quelli di vent'anni e più che potevano andare alla guerra, ne furono recensiti	30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
31 cinquantasettemila e quattrocento.	31 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
32 Quanto ai discendenti di Giuseppe, i figli di Efraim di venti anni ed oltre, capaci alla guerra, contati ciascuno per nome, secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case della loro stirpe, furono	32 Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
33 quarantamila e cinquecento.	33 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.
34 I figli poi di Manasse buoni alla guerra, da vent'anni in su secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case della loro stirpe, chiamati ciascuno a nome, furono in tutto	34 Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
35 trentaduemila e duecento.	35 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.
36 Della tribù di Beniamino, secondo le genealogie, famiglie e case della loro stirpe, furon registrati ciascuno per nome, da vent'anni in poi, tutti gli abili alla guerra,	36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
37 trentacinquemila e quattrocento.	37 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.
38 Della tribù di Dan, per genealogie e famiglie e case di loro stirpe, furon registrati ciascuno per nome tutti i capaci d'andare alla guerra, di vent'anni e più, e furono	38 Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
39 sessantaduemila e settecento.	39 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.
40 De' discendenti da Aser, per genealogie, famiglie e case della loro stirpe da vent'anni in su, atti alla guerra, furon noverati per nome e per testa	40 Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
41 quarantunmila e cinquecento.	41 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
42 De' figli di Neftali buoni alla guerra, di vent'anni e più, segnati ciascuno a nome secondo le genealogie, le famiglie e le case della loro stirpe, ne furono numerati	42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;
43 cinquantatremila e quattrocento.	43 Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
44 Questi sono i numerati da Mosè ed Aronne, e da' dodici principali d'Israele, ciascuno secondo le famiglie della sua casata.	44 These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.
45 E tutto il numero de' figli d'Israele, di vent'anni e più, capaci d'andare alla guerra, secondo le loro case e famiglie, fu di	45 So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;
46 seicentotremila e cinquecentocinquanta uomini.	46 Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
47 Ma i leviti non furon computati fra questi, secondo le famiglie della loro tribù.	47 But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.
48 Perchè il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:	48 For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,
49 «Non fare il computo della tribù di Levi, e non annumerare i suoi figli tra gli altri figli d'Israele;	49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:
50 ma affida a loro il tabernacolo della testimonianza con tutta la sua suppellettile, e tutto ciò che si riferisce al culto. Essi porteranno il tabernacolo e tutti i suoi utensili, ne avranno il servizio, e s'accamperanno attorno al tabernacolo.	50 But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.
51 Quando bisognerà partire, i leviti scomporranno il tabernacolo; quando bisognerà accamparsi, lo rimetteranno su; qualunque estraneo vi s'aggiungesse, sarà messo a morte.	51 And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.
52 I figli d'Israele rizzeranno le tende, ciascuno secondo la compagnia, il corpo e l'armata a cui appartiene.	52 And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.
53 Ma i leviti porranno le tende torno a torno al tabernacolo, acciò la mia indignazione non cada sulla moltitudine de' figli d'Israele, e veglieranno a guardia del tabernacolo della testimonianza».	53 But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.
54 Fecero dunque i figli d'Israele secondo tutto quello che il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè.	54 And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.
